Trans Atlantic Viking Activities

I will be taking my first Trans Atlantic cruise on Viking Sea in October (BCN to SJU).  I was just curious if Viking increases the daily activities to fill the many days at sea, and if so, what type of activities do they offer?  Thanks in advance for any info!

Not that this has been discussed in detail here but there are folks talking about organizing cards and other activities on the Roll Call for this cruise.  I assume you are on the October 16th Viking Sea out of Barcelona.

 

We are anticipating many lectures, crafts, painting, trivia, and probably many groups that will be looking to have board games or card games.

 

I trust that over the 6 sea days Viking will do a little extra than if the cruise was having one or two sea days.

Did same TA and have been on cruises with 7+ sea days.  Besides the games, extra lectures and guest organized activities, Viking did wine tastings, gin tastings, scotch tastings, yoga classes, meditation classes, Bayeux Tapestry tour, galley and bridge tours, movies in the theatre, themed lunches or dinners in pool area.  Best to check with Guest Services as some activities need reservations and check the Viking Daily daily.

Our first cruise with Viking was a trans Atlantic.  What we discovered was that it really was relaxing to be able to sit back and read and watch the ocean go by without needing to get something done.  
Since that first day, both of us really relish sea days.  You can schedule yourself as busy as you want to be….or not.  There are usually an increased number of activities scheduled.  Sometimes we partake, sometimes not.

It depends. They are repositioning cruises. They tend to be under booked but are featured in promotions which may increase the occupancy.

 

If you have a specific one in mind you can go to the website and start a dummy booking to see what cabins are available.

I don't believe this one is at capacity since we just upgraded our stateroom from a PV3 to PV1 and there were many cabins to choose from.

Have noticed for several months:  when doing a mock booking, wording above cabin selection  says to select cabin from all available inventory, and way more cabins show than the previous listing of only 5 or so cabins.

 

To answer @JerryInIL question, was recently on TA FLL/BCN.  Around 800 pax.
