Need Help on Port Canaveral area hotel day before cruise

Recommended Posts

We are arriving at Orlando Airport on 18 October-one day before our cruise on the Carnival Mardi Gras.  I will need transportation from airport to hotel then to the ship the following day-then back to airport at conclusion of the cruise.  I'm looking for suggestions where to stay-I did see there was a fly sleep sail package available.

Thanks

Previously when we had to fly into Orlando to go to PC, we would do a one-way rental. Pickup the car at the airport and return it the next morning in PC. The rental companies we used had a shuttle to the port when we dropped off the car.

It opens up the options for stopping on the way to pick up anything else that might be needed and dinner options. Plus we're not waiting for a shuttle to fill up or a car to arrive.

If you want to stay in Port Canaveral, I highly recommend the Home2Suites and Hampton Inn property. They are connected to each other.

Likewise you can pick a hotel by the MCO airport with a shuttle and spend the night there. It really depends on what time your flight lands at MCO.

I have used Go Port Canaveral for shuttles. I think it is $30 pp each way. You could also price out an Uber or Lyft.

I rental car is also feasible if you have any shopping to do in Port Canaveral. Budget has a return location in Port Canaveral with a free shuttle to the ship.

Good luck!

We stayed at Embassy Suites Orlando on TG Lee close to the airport this past May. Used their free shuttle from airport to hotel. We had Cruise Control (Corey) arranged to pick us up the next morning. We have used Cruise Control in the past and they are great! He arrived right on time and we were at the port exactly when when wanted. We will be using Cruise Control again May 2025!

We liked the Hampton Inn Orlando Gateway Village.  They had a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and the area had enough good food options within walking distance.  The shuttle driver was also up for driving people anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel so if you needed to hit up a grocery store for anything it was a nice option.  We also used Go Port Canaveral for transport to the port and then to the airport when we got home.

If you are sailing on the Mardi Gras you might want to look into the brand new Holiday Inn Express on Shorewood Dr.  It is directly across the street from the Carnival terminal.
