napria Posted June 21 #1 Share Posted June 21 Got an email yesterday that there will be an “Independence Day Sale” starting next week. Believe it or not, we’re looking to book yet another cruise, despite having yet to sail on our first one. Question: Are these sales usually worth waiting for? We see something we like and I’m wondering if it’s worth waiting till next week.
Rare david,Mississauga Posted June 21 #2 Share Posted June 21 Unlike people in some parts of the planet, those in the US and Canada can cancel without penalty outside the final payment period. There are some exceptions to this, but I haven't noticed very many.

napria Posted June 23 Author #5 Share Posted June 23 Thanks, MCC retired. You have more information than I got. That’s a lot about OBC, but will the fares be lower than they are now? I have my eye on a cruise but to stay in my financial comfort level I’d need to book an inside cabin, or an ocean view, but far aft or forward. I’d prefer midship. (Or pro-rate it for the Britannia cabins where we pay "only" 75-85%) 3
MCC retired Posted June 23 #7 Share Posted June 23 We shall see? Rates will not be posted until start date except for CWC members who will see them 1 day earlier. There is always a Sale , some better than others .
MCC retired Posted June 26 #8 Share Posted June 26 Available today for CWC members. Nothing great , did much better booking our 10Oct25 QM2 using the American Sale weeks ago.
Rare WantedOnVoyage Posted June 26 #9 Share Posted June 26 Maybe I'll hold out for the better deals on Cunard's Dominion Day sale... which seems befitting given the origins of the company, no? Then again, did not R.M.S. BRITANNIA first sail from Liverpool on 4 July 1840? But I know we are not supposed to talk about Cunard history and "heritage trail" anymore in the era of QUEEN ANNE so we'll stick to the "deals" her extra capacity have elicited. I think the "Sail Soon" offers have far more prospect anyway...

Rare foodsvcmgr Posted June 27 #11 Share Posted June 27 I was able to have my fare adjusted for QE Caribbean in February 2026, resulting in a reduction of $380.00 total for the cabin.
napria Posted July 2 Author #12 Share Posted July 2 Unfortunately the voyage I have my eye on is still more expensive than it was when I first saw it… and took too long to think about it. I’m hoping there’ll be another sale and hopefully it’ll be back to the price I would pay (like during the Memorial Day sale.). If not, I have plenty of voyages booked over the next three years. Rare foodsvcmgr Posted July 2 #13 Share Posted July 2 Napria keep checking, there are many price fluctuations outside of specific sales promotions based on sales algorithms for each voyage.
napria Posted July 3 Author #14 Share Posted July 3 Thanks Foodsvcmgr. I’m noticing that the Sailing Soon voyages can be really good deals. I’m keeping my eye on that cruise and my fingers crossed.

I really need to stop opening those emails from Cunard... 1
