It was not as humid as in Sorrento but after a couple of hours we were just as wet. The tender operation to get back to the only took half an hour and was absolutely pain free. This evening was really busy, I guess everybody wanted to enjoy the beautiful sail out of Kotor's Fjords. We had the Lobster Ravioli (very good, with a huge amount of lobster) and the Cornish hen (the pasta was tasty, the meat was a little too burnt for my taste) and a wonderful dessert again: A chocolate ganache with vanilla gelato It was a lovely dinner. We went up to the Fort St. James (Game of Thrones Season 5: Braavos; Entry: 11,50 E) with magnificent views on Sibenik and the sea and also saw St. James Cathedral (The Wifi is too slow today, I cannot load a lot of photos, sorry) 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In honor of this dinner, I even went to get a "blow out" at the spa (Michelle did a fabulous job as my hair is really difficult to manage). I had bought a package of 3 for 149 plus 18% gratuities (but with 15 % explorer discount) which was a good price (given we are on a cruise). They use Kerastase products and put in a lot of effort to make you happy. Our invitation said to be at the drawing room at 18:15. So of course, monks that we are, we were ready to go at around 17:45 but did not want to be too early. So we waited patiently for the time to pass only to be rang at 18:10 by our concierge Ferdinand - asking us where we were? It was a little bit embarrassing to be one of the last guests to arrive - but obviously the others knew to translate the invitation better than we did or they just attended their emptiest BOB dinner and knew when to arrive and what to expect. We started with a champagne toast held by the marvelous captain Antonio. Then we were called by name to proceed to the dining table ... silverware (real silver I think), beautifully decorated and laid out... just amazing. We had the pleasure to be seated next to the Hotel director Tony - what a dazzling personality! Then, the artists were introduced: you can see our restaurant Manager the executive chef The chief sommelier (Fun Fact: he has represented his country in the world championship of Sommeliers) Ferdinand and our Butlers (Padam - being the star of all butlers posing as fourth from the right) 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And then the ballet started. Every dish was brought out and served - with style - and in a fashion that reminded me of synchronized swimming. We had such a great time chatting to Tony and the other guests. I mentioned this on my first Azamara review - this is just the best token of appreciation that a cruise line could give to the top Suite guests. And I will say it again: This is so much better than gifting them a premium beverage package or OBC. I have not heard of any other cruise line that offers this!? We were not the first Azamara ship to dock here: Journey has already arrived. We are (again) docked right beside the old town. The angst shown by Ferdinand might mean he's had a bad experience. One of the BOBs I went to, one family just didn't turn up at all. Had the invite, didn't show, rang them and they just didn't want to go and were eating elsewhere. No RSVP. Seating hurriedly changed at the last minute that held us all up. Very poor behaviour. And I'd seen them at the cocktail party at the start of the cruise and didn't think much of them then. Stood at the other end of the Drawing Room talking within their group. To be fair she had told her butler but it messed up the table dynamics.
