Escape Haven Courtyard PH....

Recommended Posts

We've ALWAYS stayed in the Haven Aft-Facing PHs HAs on Breakaway and Breakaway Plus ships.  Have decided to try a Haven Courtyard PH HF on Escape.  Are there any differences we need to aware of between HFs on deck 17 and 18?

Thank you!

The open public deck is above 18 port and 18 starboard is Vibe beach club and then the Haven Sundeck, so in the morning and evening there will be dragging noises from moving the deck chairs on 19 and you may hear footsteps above.  These noises were noticeable in The Haven Restaurant, so I'm sure you would notice them in your cabin on 18.  So my suggestion would be to choose a cabin on 17.

We would get a Deck 17 room near the bar. Warning, the room will be tiny compared to the rooms you are accustomed to.

Thank you! Will pick deck 17!

For Escape, the side balconies are the same depth for decks 17 and 18.

I also suggest deck 17.

Thank you! How did you know balcony size was really my agenda?!

Thanks! Yeah...I realize that and I don't like it! LOL.  I don't like the smaller balcony OR just one bathroom either... BUT...We want to try it right there in the Haven once. IDK if the added convince to the Haven area will make up for it or not.  We'll see!

On the 3 other Breakaway Plus ships, the side balconies on deck 17 are deeper than the equivalent on deck 18.

On Escape, the actual forward-facing balconies (H2 and H3), on deck 17 are deeper than the equivalent on deck 18.

I'm not sure if you're aware but Escape is the only remaining BA/BA Plus ship that doesn't charge more for the aft-facing suites with the larger balconies. They are all HA and are all the same price if you decide to go back there...pun intended.

Will love to hear your thoughts about this! I'm a sucker for those aft-facing suites. I don't think staying in the Haven is worth it, compared to those. But, since your style is similar, would love to hear what you think, once you've returned. Maybe the convenience factor will make the cruise that much better!
