Portland Maine Restaurants

I know there are quite a few restaurants near the pier in Portland Maine, and I was wondering, with two cruise ships in port (NCL Breakaway and Sky) does it become difficult to get seated for a lunch?

Not really. If the one you want has a wait, just go to another. There's over 100 places to eat by the port.

Unfortunately, some of the best restaurants, like Grill Room, Scales, Street & Co, David's, are not open for lunch, so cruise visitors don't get the full benefit of our great restaurant experience.

 

But, yes, with two ships in port, the downtown and Old Port areas are crowded.  Make a reservation.

Hoping for you that Portland is NOT your first re-entry port into the US from Canada!

I am leery that we will clear CBP in time for our 1:30pm cruise on the Eleanor Hawkes since the Eclipse isn't due into port until 9:30am!

No, New York will be our port for clearing through CBP.  After leaving Canada we have a sea day was we cruise back to New York.
