Not just TA crossings but other cruises, too, might have these.

We have had matinee performances by some of the evening guests entertainers on our TAs and TPs.  They are not a repeat performance of a evening show.  We have not seen any of the production shows performed in a afternoon matinee.

Occasionally you'll also find one of the guest performers doing a lecture on the business their history in it, etc., and they may do a number or two as part of that.

We have not seen a repeat of the evening performance but more than once there has been a 'variety' show with all of the performers doing new pieces. Usually on one of the final sea days.

I need to modify my answer. The matinees are not repeats of an evening show—the matinees could be performed by the singers and dancers or by the guest entertainers but they will be a different show than the evening one had been.
