Recommend hotel for Albany Cruise Express

Leaving from Albany on the Yankee Trails Cruise Express to the Brooklyn NY port. We'll need a hotel stay the night prior. Preferably close to the bus terminal.   Last time we did this the HI Express was reasonably priced,  now it's close to $200/ night.   Any other hotels in the area that are clean and safe that might be a little less expensive?  TIA.

When was last time? $200 is extremely reasonable for Brooklyn or really anywhere in NYC.

I'm sorry for my confusing question.   I'm looking for a hotel near the bus terminal just outside of Albany.. In April we paid about $125 for the HI Express.

No one can quote a hotel price without knowing the date you're staying at the hotel.

 

Have you looked at any of the many hotel booking websites such as Expedia to get an idea of what is available on the date you need the room at what price ? If anything looks attractive you can then ask if anyone's familiar with the hotel or hotels you're considering.

We usually stay at the Fairfield in East Greenbush.

Yes very happy with our stays. Nothing fancy but it has always been clean and the people working there have been vey nice. I have seen the price go up over the years but everything has gone up in price so no surprise. There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant right next door that we walk over to have dinner at.
