Virgin returning to cruise from Australia?

We had deposits put down for specific cruises (the April 2025 relocation cruises from Sydney to Dubai) and have only just received our deposits back in the last two weeks and that was because our travel agent was hounding them. We had booked while onboard the ship in December.

The fact that they have held onto our money for so long knowing we were not travelling with them, (our travel agent informed them straight away we wanted our money back) is beyond a joke, as well the annoying fact that we still had to cover the international transaction fees.  

We really loved the ship but their sales service leaves a lot to be desired.

Spoke to Virgin again yesterday as they have had a change of heart about placeholder deposits.

They have agreed to refund our deposit due to not being able to cruise with them in 2025 even though the deposit wasn't cruise specific to an Australian cruise.

Said we should receive our refund in 7-10 working days. 

Have to wait and see now if it happens!

Just saw a 7 new article where Richard Branson had a danceoff with Raygun on a Scarlett Lady. Not sure ifnthat is a good or bad sign about them ever returning here.

Yes it was quicker than expected so we have some extra spending money for next cruise in Dec.
