Casino Comp/Code Question

Recommended Posts

We have an upcoming cruise that I booked under my wife's VIFP number.  I recently called the casino department about upgrading because they had a new rate come out with a great rate and "Drinks on us Everywhere" for her.  The one we booked under had DOU in the casino for both of us.  The representative told me we could book the new code and I could go to the casino once on board and apply a code for me that included DOU for me in the casino and some fun play.

Has anyone been able to do this?

No, they just passed the buck.  Once onboard, they will tell you your offer does not include that.

Others have reported being able to use their offer onboard when the cabin is booked using a spouse’s offer. My guess it depends on the casino host.  And I have had many servers just bring my husband a free drink when we are in the casino, even when he didn’t have any type of drink package. Let us know how it turns out.

Just email the casino and ask them to confirm your offer
https://oceanplayersclub.com/contact/

click on verify my offer, fill out the form and they will answer in a few days.  Keep that in your email or print it out.
It will show if you have fun play or drinks.  If they say you don't have it, you won't have it.
You must confirm with your vip number and name email that you use for carnival etc...not your wifes.  Each of you have your own offers.
When I call to change or book, I make sure they put both our offers onto the reservation.
You can also have your wife fill out hers or you do it putting her vip number, email etc and they will verify her offer too.

Leave nothing to chance onboard.  As MaryZ said - get everything in writing and bring it with you.  We have found the casino dept. on whatever ship we are on is bombarded and it is easier to say "no" than "okay."

I went through the process to confirm my offer and here is the email I received:

We are glad to hear you are sailing with us again!

Our records indicate you claimed a casino Play My Way offer aboard the Carnival Horizon 2025-09-27. This offer includes $100 FunPlay and the Drinks On Us! valid for your use only while playing in the casino, based on you being the second guest in the cabin.

Additional casino comps cannot be combined at this time. On your cruise, our Casino staff will provide you with onboard comps based on your level of play. Should there be any changes made on the booking in the future, only the promotion that was last applied will be extended to you onboard.

We look forward to welcoming you aboard!

**We are pleased to inform you that for any casino offer bookings made on or after January 2024, you can now easily view the perks you're entitled to directly on your cabin confirmation. Simply scroll down to the "Guest Notes" section, where you will find the name of your casino offer along with the detailed list of perks available to you if applicable.

Kind Regards,

Global Casino Services | Carnival Corporation & PLC.

The email seems to contradict itself.  The first paragraph says I claimed the offer and the second one says additional comps cannot be added.  I am not sure if I am good or not.

When we book under my husband's offer (it's usually better than mine), as long as I have an offer for the same cruise, you can still get what you are entitled to if you booked it under your own.

The first paragraph tells you what you as Person 2 will get.  The second paragraph is addressing people who did not have any comps at booking but are asking to layer a second offer on top of the original offer.

This can be done, but it is hit or miss on will it or how.

Emailing Ocean Player's Club to confirm the offer probably isn't going to get it done.  They will confirm what is there, but won't make changes.  I have recently started working with a PVP and he has been more than willing to help do this.

It's possible you could ask the host once onboard, but it's also possible that they will tell you no.  They are within their right to do so, but I think sometimes they might be feeling generous and grant the request.  I agree that it depends on the host, and it would be best to confirm this prior to sailing.

Did you end up booking the new code?  If so, do another Verify Offer ticket, with her VIFP and info, and it will tell you if she's getting drinks everywhere onboard.  If so, you're probably good to go, but I would take the written documentation with you.

We did book the new code and under the guest notes on the confirmation email it does have her with DOUE.

DON'T EMAIL THE PLAYERS CLUB ANYMORE. You're going to ruin a good thing for the rest of us.

He's got something, she's got something. Thats how it works.

Question will sink us all like bootcamp.
