Shore excursion refund weirdness

So I cancelled an excursion for my mom and I the other day worth about 150 bucks each. We had each booked and paid for it with our own credit cards back in February. I cancelled both reservations, and today my mom received 20 dollars back on the card she booked it with. I received 280 dollars back - almost the entire amount of both excursions on my ship card (NOT the one I booked with where I was expecting to see it).

Princess's Excursion Terms and Conditions said they would refund to the card used to pay for the excursion. As we each paid our own, that's what we expected, but not what happened for me.

There is nowhere on the site to see the cancellation/refund at all to see any sort of breakdown. It's not that much of an issue (I can just pay her back her share), but why on earth is this so mixed up??

Happened to me too.  Really , just add up totals and reimburse your mom.  Trying to get them to explain is like talking to a brick wall.

i paid for 2 specialty meals on my Amex. Cancelled and refund went unevenly to my Visa ( old) card and rest to my Amex.

Ugh, they are so confusing sometimes! I really think they need to at the very least have a page showing your booking/cancellation history, it was a bit worrisome waiting on the refund and there is literally nowhere to go to see that you cancelled anything.

While I'm certain  you can work it out that does not excuse Princess from just another example of poor customer service. Their programs are just atrocious. The staff just doesn't know what they are doing.

I had a smilar mishap.  Cancelled excursion.  All but $4 returned to credit card.  $4 went to OBC.  I didn't understand then, but after mulling it over, I am wondering if the $4 as OBC "would have been" the 10% back for being elite.  But even that doesn't add up.

Regardless, the numbers added up to the excursion cost and the $4 was waiting for me when I checked in on the ship.

Creative booking at its best.

While I am at it....here is another story regarding inept (in this case) FCC agent.  I don't trust.  So I went to their office with my form in my hand.  I asked to purchase FCDs for myself and my sister.  I TOLD THEM....that I wanted to have it all charged to my account.  He tried to run charge.  Denied due to their end.  It would be run at night.  I ASKED them to please print out something and have it delievered to my cabin.

Nothing delivered and, for some reason, unable to get any of my emails...had no confirmation that it was processed until my TA told me.  Had to return to office to have them print out something.

I thought all was fine, until I got home.  My FCD's charged to my account.  My sister's charged to HER CC (not mine as insturcted).

Idiots.

Yep, reached my limit here.

Refunds to wrong cards.

FCD issues- returned as FCC without the OBC.

Blocked from purchasing Plus or Premier for October cruise.

Reported web and app issues- nothing fixed.

i sure hope my Crew Appreciation is not going to any of these Staff in bonuses   I am ticked off about this recent aggravation.

We are shortly on Sky Princess. Due to problems at two ports of call one of which we had an excursion booked, being deleted from the itinerary I really have no idea what happened with regards to a refund. I presume as it was a Princess problem I will receive the refund in the form of OBC. But this is where it becomes really confusing. I believe this excursion which was cancelled came out of my original OBC of $300. In the mean time Princess added two ports of call to the itinerary Brest and Cherbourg and because of the cancelled ports, one in Canada, one in the US they gave us an additional $100 OBC. More confusion added as I went on to their website and somehow managed to delete myself from an excursion but left my wife on this excursion. Due to an increase in the fare $99.95 I phoned Princess. What a waste of time. The guy understood nothing but reinstated the excursion at the new price. So $69.95 refund and then a charge of $99.95 to my OBC. Why they cannot have a set way of refunds and show exactly what your OBC is I do not know. It does state that not all OBC will be available to see until aboard the ship.
