Laundry Detergent

Does Carnival have any restrictions on what type of laundry detergent one can use? Powder, liquid, pods? Wife wants to pack light for an upcoming Journeys cruise and wants to bring detergent/softener from home to use at the laundromat.

We use the pods. Easy to bring while traveling.

There are no restrictions, though if you're flying you need to pack liquids in your checked luggage. We take Tide Pods for the laundry on the ship. 

 

Also, you may consider fixing your signature. Your HTML code doesn't work and it throws the page margins way off. 😉

Thx, was wondering why some topics are jacked up. Hadn't noticed the html code, but yea, makes sense. The code is incomplete and applying to whole page.

I use Pods and wool dryer balls.

I always travel with powder detergent. You can use a small amount for a sink item or more for machine. It also is easier to pack in a baggie that doesn’t spill and non liquid so can go anywhere.

I saw an ad for laundry detergent sheets recently. That would seem to be a perfect choice, and if you wanted to wash stuff in sink, you just cut a small part of sheet.

Hmmm, Venezia doesn't have laundry facilities, I might get some sheets and do some laundry in cabin.

I used the sheets the last time I flew to a destination. They worked fine. Check out Amazon and read the reviews.
