The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is worth a visit if you’ve never been…..

 

 

 

 

 

Next up is the Fog Company Ice Cream shop…..

 

 

 

 

You can climb this structure which is called “Rise Again”, to get some awesome harbor views from several stories up. That glass structure is an elevator, but it’s not working. My hip is bothering me again, so I’ll just wait here at the bottom instead of making the climb…..

We have reached the Cable Wharf……

 

 

This used to be Murphy’s on the Water, and was one of my Husband Daycares. Now it’s the Cable Wharf, so I’ll have to try it out……

We had a couple of drinks, and around 2pm we asked them to call a cab for us. The cab came pretty quickly, and then dropped us off back at Pier 21. The fare was $9.40.

 

 

There was a very long line outside to get back on the ship. Once inside the terminal Patti was going to check out the shops, while I went back onboard. Inside of Pier 21 is the Canadian Museum of Immigration…….

 

 

 

Once back at the cabin I found today’s towel creature left by Jason…..

 

 

I went up to Guy’s Burger for a Plain Jane and extra fries. I took them over to RoCoco and ordered an Angry Orchard to wash them down. I passed the Lido Pool and saw that they had completed the repair work. They hadn’t filled the pool up yet though…..

 

 

Patti returned a short time later, and she went to the Lido Marketplace to make herself a salad. We were both back at the cabin by 3:30pm.

 

The Carnival Venezia sailed from Halifax right at 5pm. We are going to watch the sail away from our balcony…..

We are now heading out to sea…..

 

 

 

At 7pm I made my way down to the Lobby Bar for a couple of double Bacardi and Pepsi’s. Patti is hanging out in the cabin for now, but she’ll join me later. The Sunny Violins are playing in the Atrium…..

 

 

At 8pm I made my way over to the Limelight Lounge for Calvin Evans 18+ Comedy Show…..

As usual, Comedy Club Host Lisa Marie gets the show started…..

 

 

 

Calvin Evans takes the stage…..

 

 

 

 

 

I really enjoyed his show. I gave him a 9 out of 10. At 9pm I met Patti at the Teatro Rosso for Family Feud After Dark. She had secured our favorite seats…….

 

 

 

It was a very funny show. We were back in the cabin at 10:15pm. We were both craving a snack, so I ordered chicken fingers with fries and an apple tart for dessert…..

I don't hate Pepsi but prefer Coke. I solve the problem by adding an additional shot of Bacardi!

Jeff, hip replacement in the future?  My DH had knee years ago but was putting pressure on other knee and hip to compensate for the pain so had to have hip replacement a few years ago.  He always had to stop for a bit when we were walking in ports.

The hip that was bothering me was the one that has already been replaced. It turns out that I have Sciatica. The pain eventually rotated down my butt to my knee. Meds, stretching, and rest keep the pain at bay. Pretty much have been pain free since we've been home. Thanks for asking.

We were up at 7am to a beautiful sunny morning. The seas are calm. The temperatures today will reach the low 70’s. Here are the views from our balcony…..

It’s the usual routine. I head up to Java Blue for my morning coffee, and then back to the cabin to work on pictures. Around 8am the Venezia is approaching Sydney, NS…..

I got here late but I've been trying so hard to catch up! Between recovering from our 9/21 - 9/28 Mardi Gras cruise, followed quickly by a sinus infection and now we're on Hurricane Milton watch - it's been a whirlwind. I'm loving your Venezia cruise!! But, just one question - Java Blue and the other coffee places REALLY don't open until 8:00 am??? 🤦‍♀️ Seems crazy.

Hey Beth! Hope you had a great cruise. Java Blue was open at 7am on sea days, and even earlier on port days. I'm not sure about the Lobby Bar or Gondola Bar (Ocean Plaza equivalent), as I never got coffee at those places. Stay safe and give our best to Mark.

Once again we have no excursions booked here, so we wait until 10am before leaving the ship. Our plan is to walk along the waterfront and then into town. My hip is not happy again this morning, so finding a Husband Daycare is in the cards. Here are some views of the port area, including the “Big Fiddle”……
