We set sail a few minutes earlier than 4 PM and were heading toward the VZ Bridge, currently on a NEh eading across mid Long Island.

Love the more traditional wraparound walking track at/under lifeboat level.  That's something I will always love.

I believe you are visiting my beautiful home port of Boston  today ( actually I live 17 hours Northwest) it’s going to be a beautiful day sunny high in the 70s. Let me know if you have any questions. Like you I waited 10 years to take another Royal cruise when I took a repositioning from Boston two years ago. I was surprised to see the limited Royal Promenade hours as it used to be open 24/7 and my favorite place to pick up free coffee and a bite in the morning.

If you are looking for something to do today with the later arrival consider the Museum of Fine Arts which is open until 10 tonight. No worries if you miss the ship lol. Portland is a short 1.5 hour drive and one expensive hotel room. Kidding aside take the silver line to green line to the MFA if you stay near by the seaport is a quick ride or longer walk  with lots of restaurants, breweries and stores. If you want to feel really old this is the place to go with lots of young people. Two highlights. Marriot Bonvoy has a free rooftop deck with spectacular  views. . Nothing required but of course if you linger  if feels better to buy something. There is also a fun dart bar called the flight club which my kids love.

Already inside Boston, past the airport runway area, switching back to Google Fi 5G, used about 500 MB data on the prepaid maritime data plan in a day.

3 GB prepaid can last 5 to 6 days with light to moderate use.

Voom Starlink data plan, after 12 midnight, offered as 8 days unlimited.

Off the beaten path: It's time to take a bubble tea & dessert break in town while doing a quick walking tour.

Boston's Chinatown and Tuft Medical Center as neighbors.  Classic Chinatown Archway, one of the oldest in America, has been here for decades.

I have not been there in a long time. Is there another section of Boston Chinatown where they fly the Chinese flag like in New York?

Washington St and Kneeland Street, the restaurant and supermarket was once a movie theater in the old days ... 40 to 50 plus years ago.

Not that I know of, here it's all of the 3 historic city blocks and continuing to shrink. Doubtful the suburbs like Quincy with the younger generation fly anything.  Maybe the Stars & Stripes.

With today's port schedule, we gave up trying to get back in time for our 5 PM early dining.

What the heck, might as well check out the Lido / buffet
