Billyvega5 Posted September 27 #1 Share Posted September 27 Hi, I haven't sailed with Cunard since 2018. I am looking at a Queen Anne sailing to complete my Queens. Are the Bottles of Wine still replenished in the Queens Grill Suites minibar? It doesn't state clearly on the website and I know there have been cutbacks since covid. Thanks in advance Billy

In our experience, bottles are always replenished before they are finished although I gather from other comments a while ago, that doesn't always happen so that might depend on your butler/how well you 'get on' with the butler. Exactly. Pedantic as ever, I would say replaced rather than replenished, though. 😀

Flimsy, but two bottles = a stock of bottles. 😀

Pear Carr Posted Wednesday at 04:52 PM #12 Share Posted Wednesday at 04:52 PM We requested, and received, Hendricks gin and a white wine that was not listed on QG menu. Worth asking if your preference is not listed.

Always worth asking for another brand, wine or spirits if 'your' choice isn't on the list.
Rare s.s.France Posted Wednesday at 07:38 PM #14 Share Posted Wednesday at 07:38 PM We are now on QV and asked for Johnny Walker Black Label and Glenmorangie and got it no problem.
majortom10 Posted Wednesday at 07:58 PM #15 Share Posted Wednesday at 07:58 PM That was virtually the same menu we were given on QE in QG 2-3 yrs ago. It was our first time in QG and when asked for a cognac was very firmly told no. As it turned out our butler turned out to non existent and useless. e&mcruise Posted Thursday at 12:17 AM #16 Share Posted Thursday at 12:17 AM Noooooo they have put Cheap nasty Molly's back on instead of Baileys. Thought this was just cost cutting down under. Certainly hope it is Baileys again for our TA next year.

As one of our selections I ticked off "Molly's" and was pleasantly surprised when our butler brought us Bailey's. Last year we took the same cruise. The list was shorter than this one and there was no Irish Cream on it. Thanks to advice from members of CC I wrote in a request and Bailey's was provided.

Unfortunately when we did the same thing and requested Baileys instead of Molly's from our Butler we still got Mollys and it is just so sickly sweet. Uggghhhh. Uggghhhh. Thanks for the warning. I have never even heard of Molly's. We don't always travel in QG, but we have a cruise booked on the QV in a year and a half so will avoid Molly's if that is the only Irish Cream available at that time. Molly's (in Australia at least) is approx $10 less a litre than Baileys. They serve Baileys onboard and you can get it as part of your drinks package but if you are in QG cabins then they are nickel and diming with this sort of this given the thousands of $$$ QG passengers pay. techteach Posted Thursday at 03:48 AM #21 Share Posted Thursday at 03:48 AM There are 2 different Cunard Rose Wines being offered and they are very different. I’m sorry I can’t find pictures, but order the more expensive in the Commodore Club. I believe the cheaper is available from the QG list, and I won’t order it again. There is a difference of $4.00 per glass, but if you don’t like the cheaper…and yes, the more expensive isn’t covered by the plan. I also found a huge difference in Bloody Mary’s between Commodore Club and the Casino. The Casino uses lots of black pepper, which comes out of the Pub. Theoretically the Saint-Roch is better as it's a Côtes de Provence, and the Cunard blend is an IGP wine from Languedoc. The Cunard one is fine when we're just thirsty from dancing. But there are two Saint-Rochs of much the same name available. Taste profiles are similar but the silvery labelled one rates fractionally higher. Can you remember which it was? Sorry I thought you were referring to the two on that QG list. Yes, I've not tried Château la Tour de l'Évêque, but it seems to be widely sold by French internet vintners (without Cunard branding). According to the March 2024 wine list a small glass should be available at $12 against $9 for the other Cunard one. I'm looking forward to having that next time.
