Mines Posted September 30 #1 Share Posted September 30 We are on a cruise starting 23 October on Celebrity Apex. I have tried to pre-book restaurants for 6:00 to 6:30 but they only show very late times, or no availability at all. I cannot believe that none of the four main dining rooms have any availability at all before 8:30 on any night. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? What is the best thing to do? Rare Lena11033 Posted September 30 #2 Share Posted September 30 Just turn up when you want to eat, in July there were two lines on Apex for dinner those with early/late dining and anytime dining. I just turned up at 6pm when I wanted to eat.
Rare Kordy Posted September 30 #3 Share Posted September 30 if it’s a full sailing, they may actually be turning people away at 6 PM and they may ask them to come later
Thejuggler Posted September 30 #4 Share Posted September 30 Best thing to do is wait until you are on board. Go to the restaurants as soon as you board and speak to one of the Maitre'ds who will be there for Concierge lunch diners. You should have no trouble eating at whatever time you like in any of the four main restaurants.
jelayne Posted September 30 #5 Share Posted September 30 They do not pre book all the available tables. There are also tables for walk ups. Rarely have we waited more than 5-10 mins.
Purplsmurf Posted September 30 #6 Share Posted September 30 Reservations have to be made way in advance. We book ours as soon as we make the booking. I was looking to make some more…….didn't make them all……for our upcoming cruise and the time we wanted was gone 6 months ago already.
jojo1966 Posted September 30 #7 Share Posted September 30 They wouldn't take a reservation from us at 7 30 each night as they said that's the time for walk ins ..could only reserve a specific table we found we liked either early or late. But we went along at 7.30 and almost always got the table we wanted

When you first board the ship go to the MDR that has a staff member at the podium. Make your request for time, the MDR and table you prefer. They may accommodate your requests. This has been our experiences on the E class ships and we have always been accommodated. No problem. Edited September 30 by doghog

Merly Posted Wednesday at 11:53 AM #10 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:53 AM We are just off Apex. Go to the restaurant of your choice at the time you want. We rarely waited any length of time. We tend to eat at around 8-8.
