Sailing on Celebrity in late January out of Ft. Lauderdale and American

just changed my return home flight to 10:00 am.  If I carry off my bag, and grab a cab,

will I  be able to make that flight?

otherwise it’s mid afternoon before the next one…..

thanks for yalls input

Should be no issue. If you walk off early as possible you will be to FLL before 8.  The key is you need to walk off. We have made flight 10ish easily.  We even made a 10:30 at FLL sailing in to Mia.

Have done a number of westbound TAs. Getting off the ship was always slower after the westbound TAs.

My last one was delayed two hours for disembarkation.

Never done a trans atlantic, so I can't speak to that.

The two big timesavers, are walking your own bags off the ship as soon as the ship is cleared.  The second is having Nexus/Global Entry as the line is WAY shorter.  The customs line can be a long one.  We generally book flights around 10AM if given the option, and have never had issues.

It’s definitely possible. It totally depends on your risk tolerance. You can typically be at FLL by 8:15 with minimal rushing. Although you’re about to get a response with every what if scenario in the book.

But you need to consider that the what if's can and do happen.  I've had two cruises where disembarkation didn't start until 9:30.  Try making a 10:00 flight then!  And if its a Saturday and there are a lot of Icon sized ships in port the TSA line will be a mess- even pre-check.  We've had 30 minute lines in that situation.
