Yes, there's one on every board and they all go the same way, which is why I think they have nothing to do with dress, eh Vicar??

Strange. You can ask about the best excursions in a port and get 15 or 20 replies at best. Ask an innocent question about sneakers on the first night and we have 104 posts so far. I know which one I am more interested in..........

Not quite the end of the topic.

I am female....I wear sneakers as much as possble with Dr. Rx inserts except for short periods. Yes I will be bringing several other pairs of shoes for different dinner dressings. Thanks for all your inputs. Keep 'em coming if you like. I leave Sat morn for 2 weeks in Alaska so I've only got 3 days left to plan/pack.

Oh yeah....vicar & albert I'm in Wallingford !
Hugs to all

POOHB

TAKE ME WITH YOU !!!!!!!!!! *LOL*

I understood your post fully, people were making it sound like you were just gonna thumb your nose at the rules and wear sneakers.

Us CT folk have to stick together after all we have been through.

First our Govenor resigns and then a big sneaker scandal.

Have a great time on your cruise. I am sooooooo jealous. I have always wanted to do an Alaska cruise

maybe vicar could get on that radio of his and dispatch the Maasdam to stop in Bridgeport harbor on its way to New London! Vicar, when you need a cruise fix just hop the ferry to L.I. for a mini day cruise. i went last weekend and it was really nice!

Yes we CT ppl have it rough... Thanks for the 'pep talk' I am NOT a scofflaw type and don't intend to undermine the 'dress code'. For others who were wonderiing. In CT we do wear shorts to church & sneakers. We believe God would rather have us come & be comfortable than not show up at all.

Oh no problem.

Have you ever been to Downtown Westport where they have all those exclusive shops? They all drive Lexus , BMW whatever and they are walking around in jeans and sneakers and shorts with a ton of jewelry or in the winter the ladies have the full length mink coat over the jeans and sneakers and t shirt. *LOL*

NEVER has our luggage not arrived by our assigned dinner time, but we always fly in early and get to the ship by noon. In San Juan, on our last cruise, we dressed and went to the specialty dining room to avoid the first night open seating "free for all". It was not to rowded and we had a wonderful relaxing dinner.
