St Kitts Marriott

We're staying at St. Kitts in the Villas right now, so if anyone has any questions let me know and I'll see what I can dig up for you!

Last night we did the BBQ at the Bohemian bar which was quite excellent. Tonight we're off to a sunset dinner at the Shiggidy Shack (woohoo!!).

One thing I have noticed here...everything is super pricey.

We will be back again this up coming winter for a cruise stop and did the Shiggity Shack and Marriot.

I heard great things about Turtle beach. Any advise for a fellow cdn who loves a nice beach, view and of course a bar?

Thanks in Advance

I emailed the Marriott resort to get my day passes in advance. Just go to their website to get the email address. They were very fast to respond and super friendly. When we arrived that day they were all ready for us and waiting.

I must be missing something as I can't find their email address anywhere on their website. Do you still have it?

Thanks.

I emailed the Marriott yesterday by clicking on the contact us option on their web site and got a reply back that it was $90 plus 19% tax and could only be reserved by calling the hotel directly in St Kitts. So you have to call them. I have not called them yet.

We just got back from St. Kitts and we spent the day at the Marriott. Took a taxi and just showed up at the Marriott. Asked for a day room, there was 4 of us. The cost was 90.00 plus tax. Nice pools, and very relaxing day. We saw alot of our ships crew there. Had a great time talking to them. Would go back in a minute. Great day!

Can you just go to the Mariott for lunch if you don't want a room or need to use the pools or beach?

I am sure you can. Just check their website for the different resturants that they have.

Can the Day pass be booked in advance via e-mail or toll free telephone number?

I assume of the hotel rooms are fully booked in Jan. when we want to be there, we could not get any day pass?

Below is some info from another thread.

Seems like a great deal for those facilities?

If you book and go I would love to here about it.

We go in Feb?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are paying $75 for a room for the day which they are allowing 6 of us to share. And we are entitled to use all of their facilities. We figure $12.50 per person for the day is a bargain - and the Marriot told us that the cab ride was $2.50 per person.

------------------------------------------------

Can we just take a cab from the ship to the casino without booking a day pass?

Shiggidy, your above post pretty much follows my logic on our upcoming trip. We will be in St Kitts on 12/31 - I figured that day passes would not be available at that time since the hotel is probably at top occupancy. Do you happen to know if this is the case? I figured we could still gamble there if we feel the need.

Hi after reading this thread, I have written to the Marriott for a room for the day, they responded with 90.00 which is not bad they were going to charge 50.oo pp for just a day pass..so the room is a better deal...One question though if we start at the Marriott can we walk the beach, go to the Shiddgy shacks, and various beach huts, or are you limited to just the Marriott..sorry two questions is there enough to keep you interested for most of the day at the Marriott..we arrive at 9 a.m. thought we'd wait until about 10 to go the the Marriott..stay till about 1 then grab a cab from the Marriott I've heard they are waiting there, and shop a bit back at the dock and return to the ship does this sound reasonable..is there enough to do and look at for the day..

May be able to assist.

Did St itts a couple of years ago on Sea Princess. Took a cab to shiggity shack and hung there and walked the beach sampling cold beers from other shacks. There is a Cdn owner there also and has the nicest stand. Beach OK but nothing to write home about. The took a cab to the Marriott to make a donation in the casino. 2 minute ride. Checked out the hotel and beach area. If we did it again we would probably do the same or book a room at the Marriott.

ENJOY
