No idea where the 1A's are, but the bottom of the ship is more steady than the top. The lower down and closer to the middle of the ship you are the less likely you are to feel movement.

There are Cat. 1A cabins on various decks not just on the Rivera deck. If you look at the deck plan of the ship you will be able the locate the cabins that are 1A's. When booking your TA or PVP should be able to tell you which 1A cabin numbers are available.

 

Dahirsh is correct that if you're worried about seasickness, you want to get the middle of the ship and a lower deck because it has the least movement.

Rich, yea looks like price did go up. For IL resident cabin M solo I priced at $1089 (that's not on RCCL.com)

Check again next Tuesday for RCCL's Tuesday specials. I missed the first one I heard of, and found it posted again the next week (two weeks ago, which I booked). It came up again last Tuesday.
