Will the pools be available the first night? Swimsuits for the kiddos in carry on or packed.

The last time I cruised on the Conquest, it was docking in Galveston after Katrina. The pools were filled and ready to go upon boarding. Previous cruise out of NOLA had the pools closed and empty until the next morning.

when we cruised on the conquest-galveston, pools were full...they also had the sliding dome pool full and open, but later closed it because it was cool and began to rain.

my last cruise out of new orleans it was cold, but people were still in the pools and hot tubs. kids don't seem to mind at all lol.

Does anyone have a fairly current dinner menu for a 7 day conquest cruise. I know one or two nights the food is nothing spectacular and that would be the night(s) we want to reserve the steakhouse.

I've been looking for that information as well. Will keep my eyes open and share if I find the menu.

Next week at this time I will be on the Conquest, so if nothing else, I will try to make copies and will post.

Can anyone tell me if the middle elevators (same one that is next to casino) has access to the lido deck? It's showing on the deck plan, and I've been on the Conquest once, but I don't remember seeing it?? It would be between the grills on the lido deck.

Thanks!

Could anyone tell me, who the piano player is? Sometimes, a great place to go, depending on the player. Thank you, John

You may have to hunt for it, but there's a very long thread that is usually kept up-to-date with the piano-bar entertainers for all the ships.

CCL no longer has formal nights

Seriously? Hey, everyone!!! Must only refer to these as "elegant" nights.

Correct : - )) This is how it's written on the dailies distributed aboard CCL ships.

Speaking of... On the 2nd Day at Sea (after the 1st "Elegant evening"/ formal night), there was a Mardi Gras Party recently on the 3rd deck Lobby and a proposal from a crew member

(the guy from the Art Auction, Milan, proposed to the band singer, Katie with the help of the cruise director Gary aboard Carnival's Conquest):

I'm interested in finding out what is located in the empty space behind the 3/3 elevator banks in the front of the ship - Verandah deck (Conquest)? I see that the laundry room is near the mid-ship elevators on the Verandah deck, but just trying to see how noisy our rooms (8263 & 8265) will be located by the 6 elevator banks and the glass elevators.

Also what is the "line" on the deck plan across from room 8255 by the stairs. A solid wall?

Just curious.

I would love some post 2.0 comments too....especially did they add Serenity or not? Also wold love some reviews of the new food venues.

Do they still have Mongolian Wok? I know they put a Taste Bar where the sushi bar used to be, but do hey serv the sushi elsewhere? Seems I have read conflicting reports.

We just returned from the 1st post 2.0 cruise on the Conquest. No Serenity area was added. Mongolian Wok is gone. No sushi except on Lido buffet once all week. Taste Bar has 2 sample appetizers each evening. Some pictures post drydock in Queenies slideshow in my signature. Sorry not many pictures of the upgrades. Guys Burgers & Blue Iguana Cantina were added.
