Gratuities with open seating?

If there is open seating on Journey, how do you give your waiter gratuities at the end of the cruise if you could have a different waiter every night?

You wouldn't. Cruise lines that have open seating dining charge your onboard account a set amount per day for tips. If you would want to give more of a tip to an individual, you always have that option.

yes, that is the way it works, in fact most lines have gone to the fixed rate for tips. We love this method and usually add some to it (personally) for those who have gone above and beyond. NMnita

If they do their open seating line Princess, you can make a reservation to have the same waiter every night. You just have to eat in the same restaurant each night.

Well, you can request that, but many Princess cruisers indicate that it was difficult, if not impossible for them to do so. In some cases they were told that they could not make that type of reservation for the entire week and would have to call each morning and make their request, which might or might not be honored.:rolleyes:
