Luxuriate Posted June 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2007 It is the weekend (a Sunday night and Dad's day too) and I've had two, three....OK, FOUR glasses of wine! I'm dreaming of a cruise! Tell me all the wonderful things you love about a Celebrity Cruise! I know I could just do a query and find out what you think but it is so much fun to start over with original thoughts! Rare Lois R Posted June 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Hi, I love positive threads:) (hope your wine was good:D ) What do I love? Let me think~the way the staff and crew always have a smile, and "Good Morning" for me....or if it is later in the day, "Good afternoon" and "How was your day"?:) When I walk into the dining room, a Maitr'd or waiter is right there with an arm for me, and will walk me to my table, whether its open seating breakfast/lunch or for my assigned table for dinner:) There are many things I love about Celebrity~can't wait to sail again.:)
spearmint Posted June 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Well let's see now... a Celebrity Cruise.."How do I love thee.... let me count the ways", but in no particular order.... (by the way, I stole the part in quotation marks ;)) ...sitting on (outdoor) deck ten aft, early morning sunlight, coffee.... ...dressing up for formal nights (Rosemarie looks stunning, always)... ...dressing up on informal nights (Rosemarie looks wonderful, always...) ...dressing up on casual nights (yep, we do. Rosemarie looks...well, you know...) ...dinners in the dining room... ...dinner in the specialty restaurant... ...staff and crew on the ship, as Lois said... s-o-o-o friendly... ...people-watching by the pool... ...shows in the theatre... ...coffee and cookies at Cafe Milano...(especially if there's a harpist, pianist, or chamber group)... ...swimming in the pool... ...lounging in the Thelassotherapy pool... ...bottle of sparkling wine with dinner... ...dancing in the Rendez-sous Lounge before/after dinner...with glass(es) of sparkling wine... ...dancing in the disco, deck 12... ...lunch in the dining room... ...other stuff...:)
TeaBag Posted June 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Spearmint has said it all and I agree with everything. We love celebrity:) There are no announcements. The crew is so friendly and they try so hard. It is great to be greeted by name......as if you were a celebrity!
tams531 Posted June 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Days at sea.....sitting poolside, sipping fruity drinks, and the smell and taste of the poolside grill making excellent burgers. The casino......my husband even requested a certain band be played in the casino (BeeGees) and they obliged! Everyone was dancing around and playing their games...fun! The decor.....very tasteful and pleasing. The clientele.....they seem to be a cut above. They like to have a fun time, yet it is not overrun with wild crazy party animals. Celebrity is a great line! Karynanne Posted June 18, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Love my sea days.... Breakfast on our aft verandah.... Cocktails on the verandah... Before dinner drinks in the Martini Bar with friends.... Completely, completely unwinding.... Karyn

Luxuriate Posted June 19, 2007 Author #8 Share Posted June 19, 2007 I must have had a "few!" I don't even remember posting this! I just came across it and realized that I wrote it! Every night I dream of our next cruise. What I look forward to the most is actually the stuff happening on the ship. My favorite time is before dinner when I tour through the shops and "window shop." Norcal Cruiser Posted June 19, 2007 #9 Share Posted June 19, 2007 How about getting away in a way that unless it's an absolute emergency nobody will ask you to anything non cruise related. If you want to get away from it all in our experience this is it.You put your clothes away once and after that it's what do I want to do now?Where else can you experience that?:)
