I like to put it on shuffle when I am working out. I always skip slower songs though, unless I am doing crunches or a cool-down.

I skip the slower ones too but I don't do shuffle. I have a playlist called "workout songs" that gives me right about 45 minutes to do my cardio! ;)

Dang I was just going to type Clumsy!! I've never listened to Fergie...but I ran across this somewhere, and it is such a great "moving" song....it's now on my Sansa. (I don't do iPods!!:rolleyes: )

I don't have certain songs to listen to but I find it more succesful if I exercise to slow songs, I do my push-ups and sit-ups, and jog to the beat of the slow music, mostly country or sad/depressing songs. The workout is more effective if it's done slowly, and it doesn't seem so brutal if music is involved.

 

I am exactly the opposite - I want fast, good beat, rythymic. That doesn't mean I go faster with my workout...it simply keeps me pumped and motivated!

Wow!! I was able to dig this old thread up! Ha....going back and looking at some of the posts were great! :D

I was listening to my Workout play list and thought...now where can I find some new songs.......and taa daa..... there's a few on here that I'd forgot about!:)

What about you?? Ever need some new music for your iPod? or now...iPhone?! :p

I mostly listen to Christian Rock and Alternative...so many may not be familiar with the bands...but I urge you to check out it out...the music is not what you would expect it to be!
