Jamie Firth is the Maitre'D in the Mauritania Restaurant, sorry can't help on the others.

Thanks there, I could remember Jamie F...... but couldn't think of the rest. I had Fyrs....First but knew I was wrong.

 

I cannot for the life of me remember for Caronia as for the others I have either never partaken or is so long ago I can't remember (and of course could have changed).

In the Caronia, it was (still is?) David, but I don't remember his last name. His picture has even been in the brochure from time to time.

In QG it is either David Chambers or Andrew Nelder. Occasionally Andrew Nelder is the Maitre d' in PG

in caronia the maitr d's name is gregory dorothy. the assistant maitre d's name is luka (can't remember his last name)

Hi Jon,

 

It's Ico in the PG - I'm not sure but I think his surname is Pranic (or something similar). Perhaps someone else will know for sure.

Yes, that sounds right. I couldn't remember his last name, only David.

All the maitre d's on the QE2 changed on the 24th July eg Jamie has now gone on the QM and is expected to go to the Victoria

David Hamilton is the Hotel Manager when John Duffy is on leave. He is not a Maitre'd as noted in an earlier post on this thread.

jason and james murphy were the maitreDs in the pg when i was on board

It's Jimmy "Murray",not "Murphy" re PG. He is sometimes M'd in Brit, sometimes asst M'd in PG.

Hotel Manager : John Duffy or David Hamilton

Mauretania : Jamie Firth

Caronia : David Hamilton, Gregory Dorothy (assistant Luka)

Britannia : sometimes James Murray

Princess : Ico (sometimes Andrew Nelder), Jason, James Murray

Queens : David Chambers or Andrew Nelder

Lido :

Pavilion :

That was David Thompson. A terrific Maitre d' and a really nice guy. Last I heard was that he was working in a restaurant in Scotland.

thanx for the correction regarding Murray/murphy but his name tag did say james!

Just come off the QE2 and the new Maitre d' in the Mauritania is Stanley Williams.

He started off as a waiter and worked his way up to Maitre d' before going over to QM2, and l gather nows owns a restaurant just outside Edinburgh.

Raul was Maitre D' in PG on two cruises with us. Is he still in PG? We were thinking he may go to Queen Victoria... wishful thinking!
