Can we use our in-Suite computer to charge our iPod

Anyone that's stayed in a suite on Constellation (or similar ship) - can you access a USB port on the suite computer and if so, do you know if they are 2.0? Need to know if we can charge the iPod that way or need to carry the charger. Thanks!!

Unless they've upgraded very recently, they're antiques . . . carry the charger.:( I bought a Kensington universal charger and use it for both phones (iphone & treo), ipod, laptop, and a few others. You buy the tips that fit your elctronics. Charger is flat and slips down the side of my carryon so we no longer need separate chargers for anything. Might work for you.

If I remember correctly, the mainframe for each computer is in a locked cabinet so there's no way to access a USB port. Bring your own charger with you.

The computer is locked in a cabinet adjacent to the desk on most of the Celebrity Suites I have been in. The computers are relatively new and do indeed have a 2.0 USB port. When I needed access the butler was good enough to arrange for it to be unlocked.

 

The Royal Suites have the computers in a cabinet adjacent to the desk and they are not locked. One nice thing is they also have a power switch in there for additional electrical hookups.
