cmmarch Posted August 8, 2007 #26 Share Posted August 8, 2007 You can either have your TA add the numbers or you can go to the RCI website and pull up your reservation and add the numbers yourself. At the main page choose "Before you Board" then choose "On line check-in". You do not have to complete the entire check-in process at any one time. You can fill in your C & A numbers, save your work and exit the reservation. Thanks! I went to the on-line check-in area and to my surprise our C&A #'s were already in there. C&A area must have somehow linked it to our reservation after my initial email and activation. Looks like I'm all set to get the coupons - only gold but maybe we'll use them.:)
mommabean Posted August 8, 2007 #27 Share Posted August 8, 2007 I'm not going to buy logo stuff, but I'll sure appreciate the free money and the coffee. 12 more days! Pia Just remember that when you get your coffee, a free pastry comes with it. I never realized that the price of coffee - free or not - included the pastry. Of course there is no obligation to take the pastry. If you don't want it, you might know someone who does want it.
mommabean Posted August 8, 2007 #28 Share Posted August 8, 2007 You mean they actually give you a whole B & J's peace pop for free instead of for 75% off??? I've always thought it was so bogus that they just didn't give you a free coupon for the overpriced stuff anyway. On our last cruise we didn't get our C & A coupons until I asked our cabin steward about them. nd it wasn't because they didn't have our C & A numbers on the reservation. I am a fanatic about details like that. Yes, I just went and double checked just to be sure. There was no Ben and Jerry's on my last cruise so my coupon was unused. It's a FREE peace pop. I think the lower level discounts are nice and should also be appreciated by those who are going to purchase an item anyway. I always liked getting the coupons that offered me a free photo of the ship if I bought a portrait. Or a discounted portrait. Although I think the totally free stuff is best, or course. I sure wouldn't buy something I didn't want just because a discount was offered. I'm inclined to not take free stuff just because it's free either. (unless it's food :D ) But that's just me. Schplinky Posted August 8, 2007 #30 Share Posted August 8, 2007 Just what I need; another piece of cake. LOL Sadly, the pastries at the coffee shop are the best-tasting thing on the ship. Oy, just what I need: more sugar and caffeine!

But hey, it's vacation! We can justify it all for the sake of energy which we need. Once I couldn't decide which kind of pastry I wanted so she said, "take them both." ...and I did
IKE Posted August 8, 2007 #32 Share Posted August 8, 2007 Our coupons have always been in our Cabin upon arrival. There are some useful coupons. We usually use the one for "Johnny Rockets".
lunyma Posted August 9, 2007 #33 Share Posted August 9, 2007 The coupons are not worth much as far as I'm concerned. 10 complimentary internet minutes, 2 for 1 cocktails/soda/water, $5.00 match play, 5% gift shop discount on logo merchandise, photo credit (also buy one first 5 x 7). That's what you get. Maybe the drink is worthwhile, though not to us. Pia I'd be happy to take that drink coupon off your hands, Pia <G>

polodad Posted August 9, 2007 #36 Share Posted August 9, 2007 Sadly, the pastries at the coffee shop are the best-tasting thing on the ship. I also think the pastries at the coffee shop are good, BUT, if you haven't been there try the dessert sampler at Portofinos. I personally guarantee the white chocolate creme brulee or tirimisu will float your boat.

Now give me chocolate, chocolate chip cookies.................:)

NancyChgo Posted August 10, 2007 #39 Share Posted August 10, 2007 Our coupon books were also waiting in our cabin on the very first day. ....In addition to the coupons, you also receive some RC swag during the week; pictures frames, tote bags, etc. (The kind of stuff you see for sale on Ebay) This post seems to have gotten lost and I just wanted to post that while still a Gold member (graduating next month), I received two gifts (on 2 different cruises, of course) I use all the time. An RCI Empress of the Seas canvas bag (use daily to work) and a great Travel Toiletry Kit (with the hanging hook) that I use on every trip I go on! Hey! Who doesn't like Free :D ?! p.s. Hi Momma Gina!! :p Nancy
lizaj1 Posted August 10, 2007 #40 Share Posted August 10, 2007 We're Platinum now. Wonder what the difference will be. We are Platinum and we received casino credits, photo credits, Latitudes and Ben and Jerry's coupons and some others we didn't use. BUT, because everyone in our party received a coupon book we traded off the ones we would use and everyone was happy! The Latitudes coupons came in handy every morning on the way to the pool deck (don't forget the complimentary pastries!) as the coffee on deck is not the same quality. We also received leather picture frames for each of us.
aqhacruiser Posted August 10, 2007 #41 Share Posted August 10, 2007 [SIZE=3]Coupons books are always waiting in our cabin on the vanity on the Explorer.
