Philly Steve Posted September 13, 2011 #333 Share Posted September 13, 2011 Recently bought my first Dragon Waves diecast model (Carnival Pride) and I'm impressed with the detail. Also, it's nice to have a plastic case.

vwrestler171 Posted October 23, 2011 #335 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Does anyone have an extra Carnival Destiny that they would be willing to sell? Tried on Ebay and I would like the bigger ones, than the one you can buy on the ship. Would love to get a 1:1250.
modelman Posted October 24, 2011 #336 Share Posted October 24, 2011 I just received a custom made 1:1250 scale model of MV Atlantic (1982) of Home Lines. I am really happy with the model. While it is made of wood, and really light, I think it gets the propotions of the ship just right. Here are a couple of pictures of the model with my Sextant Homeric (1985), also of Home Lines
Deborah4jc Posted October 25, 2011 #337 Share Posted October 25, 2011 Does anyone know if there is a dye-cast model if the Carnival Celebration? I just bought the Valor and Elation on Ebay.
Lachance108 Posted November 22, 2011 #338 Share Posted November 22, 2011 ckcb4u2 , I was wondering, I noticed in your pictures that you have a 1.1250 waterline Carnival Celebration. How on earth did you manage to get this!? I noticed that on the website, that this ship is not even in production yet. And was also wondering, if maybe you could posts some pictures of the model? Corey The model is actually of the Jubilee, which is the Celebration's sister. It is by Carlo Marquardt, CM-KR 75 In general it seems out of stock right now. But I did recently see a resin version of the model for sale on ebay.co.uk from a modeler in Italy. It is of the Celebration, and is for sale for 59.99 UK Pounds http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-1250-ship-model-Carnival-Celebration-/150703572671?pt=UK_Collectables_Nautical&hash=item2316a206bf

Lachance108 Posted December 22, 2011 #343 Share Posted December 22, 2011 Check Scherbakshipmodels.com He has Carnival Glory in 1/1250 waterline. Pricey, but the best 1/1250 model you will find out there. I have Carnival Liberty and Valor, and love them.

startraveler Posted January 9, 2012 #346 Share Posted January 9, 2012 Long shot, but.... If anyone's going on Oasis of the Seas, I'll pay for you to pick up a model (cost+shipping+small percentage over cost.) I decided not to get one, now I'm regretting that decision. :) I can (and have) picked up models of most of the other ships I've been on - except Discovery Sun - and Oasis would complete my collection. E-mail me off list at alertfive [at] yahoo [dot] com. Thanks!
seadancer Posted January 17, 2012 #347 Share Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) with the way a lot of ebay ships seem to have skyrocketed lately . I can't believe I just got a Dolphin cruise line S.S. Seabreeze for 19.95 plus shipping in a "buy it now" situation. Yes I'm gloating I've been looking for this one for 12yrs with an ebay search:D Edited January 17, 2012 by seadancer

I don't know if you were able to hook up with anyone going on the Oasis soon who will get one for you or not, but I just noticed this listing for an Oasis of the Seas ship model on Ebay. Right now, it's at about $20.00, however, there was one listed in early December that resulted in a bidding war that ended with the winner paying close to $100.00 for it. pghsteelerfan Posted February 4, 2012 #350 Share Posted February 4, 2012 Question for Modelman: I love your ship collection. Maybe you would be the one to ask...do you know if there was ever a ship model made for Carnival's Festivale? I was told by a Carnival rep last year that past guest pins, ship models and ornaments weren't available while Festivale was part of their fleet, but I later found out from collectors of past guest pins that there actually were past guest pins for Festivale, although they are rare. I've been checking Ebay for models but have never seen one, so those may not have existed but thought you might know for sure. Thanks!
