What is your favorite?

What is your favorite ship? Is it a RCCL ship or is it on another line? What makes it your favorite ship? I am trying to decide whether or not to do my favorite ship (the Granduer of the Seas) again or to give another ship a try. This is why I asked the above questions.

I will sail my favorite again in 3 weeks. The Empress.

Besides the Empress, I have sailed the Viking Serenade, Adventure, Enchantment, Brilliance, Empress, and the Navigator, many of them more than once. I Love the Navigator. That will become my favorite when the Empress leaves the fleet.

Been on RCI's the Mariner, Navigator, and Liberty. The Mariner in 06 was my favorite ship and IMO had the best Cruise Director, James Andrews. The Mariner was my first cruise since 95 so that may influence my pick.

The Navigator, even though it was the same class of ship didn't seem to have the energy and fun of the Mariner.

We tried the Liberty for two reasons. 1. we hadn't sailed her before (good enough reason for me) and 2. we wanted to see what a Freedom Class ship was like. Other than being a bigger version of a Voyager, she had little else going for her. Doubt that I would sail her again. Been there, done that.

So for me, I prefer the Voyager Class ship and in particular the Mariner. That may change next year when we try out the Jewel of the Sea, a Radiance Class ship.

We love the Mariner, maybe because it was our first cruise and it was during hurricane Jeanne. It lasted 9 days and the crew was wonderful. They kept us well informed, made an extra stop in Labadee and provided great entertainment for the extra days. We also have been on the Grandeur and liked it alot. In 3 weeks we leave on the Freedom of the Seas. Our other two cruises have been on Carnival and we didn't like it as much

A very close tie between the Navigator and the Jewel. I still haven't been on a cruise ship I didn't like. Maybe that's because we've only been on RCI ships. :D

I was going to mention the Navigator, she is a beautiful ship as well :D

We are on the same page shipnotshore ;)

Celebrity ship Century was a very elegant looking ship. The reason I say was is because they have refurbrished it and I don't know what it looks like now. It made you feel like you were in a 5 star hotel just from the decor. Celebrity was several steps above RCL even though they are owned by the same company. Again the word was because I don't know what it looks like now.

Enchantment of the Seas hands down.

Why:

Friendly staff members

A fabulous Chops restaurant

Julian and The Concierge Lounge and the location of the Lounge

Size of the ship

All that glass (it's a Vision Ship)

Casino

It's beauty and elegance

The My Fair Lady Dinning Room

and most of all past memories

Jewel of the Seas!!! 2nd --Celebrity Summit

We noticed that some of you who like RCI also like Celebrity. Let me ask you this if the 2 line have such a difference then what is it that causes you to like them so much? An example for me is I love CCL for the food, the people, and the crew but, I will never turn my noise up at a RCI cruise because I recieve excellant service always on their ships. Not to mention I love the layout of the Granduer and her sister ships.

Another question I have is for the folks who love the Vision class ships. Do you find that all that glass makes it to bright in the public rooms durng the day? I only ask because glare can give me a headache sometimes.

Thank you

Probably because they are owned by the same company and you can use the past passenger benefits (what you qualify for) on both lines :D

"Mariner of the seas" is the one we like best at this time. We have only cruised on the "Enchantment of the Seas" and the "Mariner of the Seas".

We have booked the "Mariner" again for next Sept (2008). I am told that the "Mariner" has the highest return guest ratio of any ship in RCCL fleet.

Been on the Brilliance 10 times, so I can say that she is my favorite ship. Plus, hubby and I, became very friendly with few of the crew members, and we are known as Mami and Papi, Mom and Dad and THE MORGAN's. We are going for the Xmas cruise, and all our "KIDS" are waiting for us and I got presents for all of them.

Been on the Radiance a few times, and the Jewel (we are going b2b Nov 11). Willie is in the CL on the Radiance, but I don't know about the Jewel, last time it was Jason, but I do know that he's not longer with the company. Whos is in the CL on the Jewel? Thank you.
