mamaofami Posted November 16, 2007 #26 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Not fair. I have to wait till day nine for those escargot that I love so much. Two orders of those for sure. That could well be my meal for the evening. Does this menu help us to know which nights are the formal nights on the 10 day cruise?
jandiart Posted November 16, 2007 #27 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Thanks so much for the information. My hubby is pouting because his favorite escargot is made in wine and he is extremely allergic to sulfites which are in all wines. I hope he will be able to get them made special for him without wine

I may do the same as you, Carol! On our honeymoon in Bermuda, we had escargot every night...wouldn't that be nice on HAL?
Big Al B. Posted November 16, 2007 #29 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Nice job of posting the menus. Did you get a copy to bring home or copy them each night? We were on the 11-day that came back in on the 31st. The menu was somewhat different. I did see things that I remembered as being on our menu, but there were also some that weren't. Same with the desserts.
cnvh Posted November 16, 2007 #30 Share Posted November 16, 2007 If anyone is interested in photos of some of those great meals, you can check out our photos-- we took pictures of our entrees and starters (and some of the desserts) almost every night. http://picasaweb.google.com/cvanhine/Cruise2007Food

I have gotten so much information from this board over the years, that I didnt mind typing them in. I was my high school typing champ of 1978, and this is the first time it has paid off :)
jandiart Posted November 16, 2007 #32 Share Posted November 16, 2007 What day do you recommend eating in the PG on the 11 day cruise? We are going on the 12/1 cruise and want to pick a day with the worst choice of food on the menu.
Rare Roz Posted November 16, 2007 #33 Share Posted November 16, 2007 We Love Cruising, Thanks for all your mouth watering effort. :D Question for you or anyone else who's recently cruised with the new menus - I noticed a salad being offered as an entree choice on some of the evening menus. Is this something new? Roz
sail7seas Posted November 16, 2007 #34 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Does this menu help us to know which nights are the formal nights on the 10 day cruise? Carol, Yes..... What is offered on the various menus does tell which nights are formal. Lobster is always offered on the last formal night. Rack of Lamb is always a formal night. Escargot and shrimp cocktail...... Baked Alaska if, of course, always the last formal night.
booklady26 Posted November 16, 2007 #35 Share Posted November 16, 2007 This is awesome. Terrific job. I can't wait for February when I sail on her again. Can you, or anyone else out there, tell me if Thomas is still the maitre'd?
mamaofami Posted November 16, 2007 #36 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Thanks, Sail. That helps to know when to eat in the Pinnacle. Can't imagine what my new nutritionist is going to think of this menu. :D Methinks I'm going to have to forgo the ice cream in the afternoon and find a healthy snack instead. She has me eating every few hours, which isn't a problem, it's just that bread pudding and ice cream and pillow chocolates don't quite fit.:)
mamaofami Posted November 16, 2007 #37 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Just found the room service menu that someone posted. That should take care of my snack needs very nicely. Lots of salad and protein. We love crusing, thanks so much for typing all of this info in. So glad you loved your cruise.
ittibit Posted November 16, 2007 #38 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Would it be possible for you to scan in one of the daily papers???? We are interested in finding out about a few specific things and that would help immensely.
Big Al B. Posted November 16, 2007 #39 Share Posted November 16, 2007 You can also order things from the main dining room for room service. I think it has to be at least 30 minutes before they start serving. I know there was something about 30 minutes :).
Rhea58 Posted November 24, 2007 #40 Share Posted November 24, 2007 A thousand thanks for the menu posting... I foresee doubling up on the escargot, and glad to see the rack of lamb! I am so looing forward to my gluttony!
