wyattm Posted November 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2007 It will be our frist time on the EOS in Jan 08 and was wondering what type of Tv's are on the ship. Did they install the new flat panels? Did they install new bedding after the stretch? I have heard a lot of good things about this ship does anyone have any pic's. cb at sea Posted November 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2007 You will have the new bedding, but the tv's are the old "tube" type. Only the Freedom class have the flat-screens. Doesn't matter much, since there's nothing really to watch, anyway!
why2klisa Posted November 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2007 We are also sailing on EOS for the first time in Feb 08. I was wondering if the showers in the cabins have a curtain or a door.

lori450 Posted November 16, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2007 The showers in the old cabins have curtains. I am told that the ones in the new cabins have the door. I'll be in a new one on 12/15 and let you know for sure.

negc Posted November 16, 2007 #7 Share Posted November 16, 2007 We'll be on Enchantment in just a few weeks so we can answer some questions with more accuracy, but I believe that you will find that all of RCI's ships now have the new bedding. No flat screen TVs but the programming isn't quite as bad as some portray it. I don't go on a cruise ship to watch television but whenever I have had occasion to do so, I have usually found CNN(sometimes CNN International) Headline News, ESPN or ESPN Deportes, some retro-TV channels, a daily selection of movies similar to what you might see on local tv channels at home, and some more recent pay per view films. Some of the shows in the theater are recorded and rebroadcast on one of the TV channels as well. We were on Enchantment just after it was stretched and were very favorably impressed with the results.:)

IndyCapt Posted November 16, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 16, 2007 We were on Enchantment the week of Nov 5th in one of the new cabins. It had the curved shower door-much better than the curtain.

No new TVs as of this past January 4. All of the ships now have the new bedding. Do a search on webshots or other popular photo sites for Enchantment of the Seas, and you should find lots of pics! ottawapuppy Posted November 16, 2007 #13 Share Posted November 16, 2007 I have heard a lot of good things about this ship does anyone have any pic's. Enchantment was one of our favourite Royal Caribbean cruises. There are some pictures on our web site at: http://web.mac.com/thecruiseguys (click the Photos link at the top) Our room was in the new section. In the pictures you can see the regular TV (no flat screen) and the fact that they hadn't updated the bedding when we were on. They have since updated the bedding. Sabin Girl Posted November 17, 2007 #19 Share Posted November 17, 2007 We were on the enchantment in October in room 8074. It was a new room with new bedding, a shower door, and an old tv. Plenty of storage space for all your things and the luggage fit under the bed. The safe was the kind you need a card to use. We were directly under the pool and you could here noise from there when people were running around and chairs being moved. The room was an adjoining room and we did a back to back sailing and the first week we could hear people talking in the room but the second week we never heard a thing. I guess it just depends how loud your neighbors are. We enjoyed our trip very much but the ship does not have the WOW factor of some other ships. Go to Chops for dinner, every single person we talked to said it was the best steak they ever had.

amickeyfriend Posted November 17, 2007 #22 Share Posted November 17, 2007 Just back Thursday. We were in a Grand Suite. There was some early morning noise from the Windjammer which was just above, but not enough to be a problem.
Merion_Mom Posted November 18, 2007 #23 Share Posted November 18, 2007 I'm in 2101 and my TA said it was in the new section. lori, what is the nice way to say this? Oh hell, there IS no nice way to say this. Your TA is an idiot. 2101 is not in the new section by a mile!
lori450 Posted November 18, 2007 #24 Share Posted November 18, 2007 Thanks, yea she is an idiot. Figured that out on our last cruise. This was just a left over that she had booked for me. Wish I could switch it to another TA, but I'm stuck. I've already found a new TA for my upcoming trips. Now I just have to see if I can get my cabin switched (if there is a new one available for my cruise date).
lori450 Posted November 18, 2007 #25 Share Posted November 18, 2007 Well, I just checked the RCI site and there are no equivalent cabins listed. So, I sent a strongly worded e-mail to the TA. I'm not holding my breath, but at least I voiced my unhappiness.
