New Pledge!

The SLOW Pledge is over on Thursday..last weigh-in day for it.

 

Thinking of new one. Here's a couple of ideas.

 

(1)..The DEW Pledge. It means.....

D..Diet

E..Exercise

W..Water

If we DO all 3 of these things We Will Lose!

 

(2)..The DO IT Pledge. It means.....

Do everything you should and you will lose.

 

(3)..The JUST DO IT Pledge. It means.....

Just do it..no excuses.. and you'll lose.

 

Vote for which one you like. I like the DEW Pledge.

It starts on this Thursday. That's your staritng weight.

 

It will Start September 9th and will go thru the Holidays

to end on January 6th.

Seventeen Weeks! Get us thru the Holidays with a lost..

without us gaining .

For most of us that means..Holloween..Thanksgiving..Christmas..

New Years. Know Canada has different Holidays or the same but different days..there's the Jewish Holidays for some.

So we all have BIG HOLIDAYS to go thru..

be it the same or different!

 

So place your vote, have just tomorrow. Starts Thursday!

Belle-the DEW pledge sounds great to me. My Cruise is in January and I am pumped to really take off the last 25 lbs to my goal. I made the first pledge and actually went 21/2 lbs below it, so I am going to make a more challenging pledge this time.

New to the pledge idea, but count me in......DEW sounds great, and workable. I will look forward to seeing others pledges too.....However, I am the one who doesn't weigh herself hardly at all while losing because it just doesn't work for me. My body is changing, so I know it is happening. To Pledge, I guess I will have to have a starting weight so I know what happened in the 17 weeks til January. Must admit, I am fearful of finding out. ( For those of you confused, I find that it is a lose-lose situation for me and scales. If I weight often, even just weekly, if I have lost, I feel cocky and may relax my plan, and if I have not lost, I think "why bother," and have trouble keeping focused.) Silly, I know, but that is just how it is. Am I alone in this?

Mark you weight down tomorrow (don't have to say outloud)!

Say what you would like to lose in the 17 weeks.

Weigh-in each Thursday say if you lost..stayed the same or had a gain.

At the end we say how well we did.

Hi...I'm new to this thread, but not new to trying to lose weight! :rolleyes:

 

I made a commitment to myself to lose 20 pounds before our cruise on 1/8/05. I have lost 3 pounds so far. So my pledge with this group would be to lose 17 more pounds. I've had my weigh-in today at the place I work out so I'm ready to go.
