Tra4 Posted February 13, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted February 13, 2008 Thank you, one picture they looked really cute, but then on the website, it didn't look that great, so I wanted a factual account -- lol!! Thanks.
critterchick Posted February 13, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2008 I don't know about stylish or cute, but it's really handy - lots of storage space and nooks and crannies to hide valuable items. I got one as a Diamond Plus amenity and liked it so much that I got another for my MIL for Christmas.
cruisePRN Posted February 13, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2008 I got one for my D+ amenity and it's quite useful with all it's compartments.
rclcruzer Posted February 13, 2008 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2008 My friend bought one last year and it's great! She brought it along on our Monarch cruise a few weeks ago. It's nice and it's handy!

waterbugohio Posted February 13, 2008 #9 Share Posted February 13, 2008 So does this beach bag have a zippered top?? Where can I view it?? How much??
CruiseKeeper Posted February 13, 2008 #10 Share Posted February 13, 2008 It does not have a zippered top. It has about a 3 inch velcro strap that holds it together. There is a zippered compartment on the outside though. It has a mesh pocket on the side that can hold a bottle of water and another side pocket that could hold something the size of a cell phone. Mine is about 3 years old and still holding up. At times, I really wish it would have a more secure closure. I usually hide the valuables down the bottom under beach towels and stuff. waterbugohio Posted February 15, 2008 #14 Share Posted February 15, 2008 I really like the zippered top. I always fill it to full and worry about losing things. Will take a look at it though. Do I have to get it ahead of time or do they sell them on the ships??
CruiseKeeper Posted February 15, 2008 #15 Share Posted February 15, 2008 I really like the zippered top. I always fill it to full and worry about losing things. Will take a look at it though. Do I have to get it ahead of time or do they sell them on the ships?? Just to make sure, it does NOT have a zippered top. . It has a about a 3 inch wide Velcro closure that only holds the top of the bag somewhat together. It does not enclose or secure your stuff. I’ve never seen them in the gift shops on the ships. If you order it, it will be waiting for you in your cabin when you arrive. It is not shipped to your home. Of course, make sure you order it early enough before your cruise. FLCruiseGirl Posted February 15, 2008 #16 Share Posted February 15, 2008 I bought this tote bag a few years ago. I like it so much I'm thinking about buying another one - one to use just for the beach and one to use on excursions, etc. When I bought mine you could only have them waiting for you in your cabin when you arrived on the ship. You couldn't have them mailed to your home. When I was looking in Gifts and Gear a few days ago, I read that you CAN now have items shipped to your home. CruiseKeeper Posted February 15, 2008 #17 Share Posted February 15, 2008 Wow, I see they do now ship to your home. That's great. Thanks. Also, here's a better pic detailing the top of the bag for you waterbug.
waterbugohio Posted February 15, 2008 #18 Share Posted February 15, 2008 L&J, Thanks for the photo. I will still consider it, but not sure about not having a zipper. Will have to check out other ones when the start coming out more this spring. I have till November to decide.
FLCruiseGirl Posted February 15, 2008 #19 Share Posted February 15, 2008 If you want to secure a wallet or other valuables, there is a zippered pocket on the inside of the bag.
franma Posted February 15, 2008 #20 Share Posted February 15, 2008 Years ago we had a lot of extra stuff to take home from our cruise so I purchased a foldup duffel type bag at the gift shop on board. It's nylon and zips together into a compact package. I think it was about $15 and they still sell them on the ships. Now I throw it into our suitcase and use it as a beachbag. Very roomy for towels, water bottles, change of clothes, etc. Then if we need it for our extra purhases, we can also use it for the way home. Otherwise, fold it up and back in our suitcase it goes. It's lightweight and since it's nylon dries quickly if it gets wet. End of commercial...;)
cruisePRN Posted February 15, 2008 #21 Share Posted February 15, 2008 Is the this the same tote that is given as a gift to C&A members? Yes it is and I have 2 of them from my last 2 cruises.
CruiseKeeper Posted February 15, 2008 #22 Share Posted February 15, 2008 To clarify, this tote may be the one that is given as an amenity to Diamond Plus members but it is not the one that is given to all C&A members onboard.
mikeandlisa Posted February 15, 2008 #23 Share Posted February 15, 2008 Is this something that you have to order or can you pick it up on the ship?
critterchick Posted February 15, 2008 #24 Share Posted February 15, 2008 Is this something that you have to order or can you pick it up on the ship? I don't know if they sell them in the logo store, but you can buy one online even if you're not going on a cruise. You can also buy one to have delivered to your stateroom through Gifts & Gear. FLCruiseGirl Posted February 16, 2008 #25 Share Posted February 16, 2008 Is this something that you have to order or can you pick it up on the ship? They don't sell them on the ships. You can only get them through Gifts and Gear or as a gift on board as a D+.
