Star in drydock?

I was looking at cruisecal and noticed that the Star will be in San Francisco from Sept. 24 through October 11 after her summer in Alaska. Will she be in drydock? We are sailing on her Nov. 20 from SF to Santiago, Chile.

Yes, she is scheduled for a "Gem" class upgrade at that time.

We've never been on Princess, but we'll be on the first Star cruise after drydock.

What is a "Gem Class" upgrade?

Will there be "MUTS?"

Will bedding be improved? Or any other stateroom changes?

What kind of changes to public rooms?

Is ther a good place to go to on the Internet so I can get a better idea of what's going to happen?

All information will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

If the Star is going to continue to do South America I think it would be more creative to create an Argentinean style Parrilla (or steakhouse).

Tequila's (the current venue for Sterling Steakhouse) has never worked well theme wise.
