RCCL On Board Credits

Recommended Posts

I'm not a new cruiser, but this is the first time I've ever booked a cruise and received an on board credit (OBC). So, I'm looking at my booking confirmation Invoice and I'm not sure how to tell if I have it or not after changing my cabin...

Has anyone ever booked during an OBC special and then changed cabins later? Was the OBC taken off or does it matter.

I'm waiting for RCCL to confirm weather or not I can keep my OBC after changing my cabin...the cruise specialist said I'd have to wait until a particular department was open to confirm it or not.

Thanks...just hoping I don't lose it...it was $100

If the only thing that you changed was your cabin, you absolutely should keep your OBC. Call RC in the morning, and give them your booking number, and they should be able to easily confirm your OBC.

Your OBC won't show up anywere until you get on the ship. It will be added to your account on the second day.:)

My reservation ID is still the same and I received a new booked confirmation invoice via e-mail and the OBC shows up at the bottom with an four digit alpha numeric code next to it. I'm pretty comfortable with the cabin upgrade and knowing the OBC was maintained. I just can't believe I got a bigger cabin for a lower price than the cabin I originally booked! Very cool.

If you call RC and request it, they can e-mail you an invoice that shows your all your OBC.

Think of it like a regular credit card statement:

Your invoice is similar to a charge you made to purchase the cruise. Think of it as the copy you get at the store after your bought that to-die-for-dress you could not do without. Your OBC is a "credit" so it won't show up until after you are onboard and actually start using your Sea-Pass card. Whether you use it to access your cabin or make a charge to it <Sea-Pass card.> For example a soda card, drink, photograph, t-shirt etc.
