kbdogmom2 Posted February 23, 2017 #26 Share Posted February 23, 2017 Can anyone answer the questions posed about which held/dog sled tour is better? Denver Glacier or Mendenhall Glacier? I understand both are same tour but different glaciers. Is one more beautiful? Is one more crowded? Thank you

Either glacier is going to offer scenic touring. With dog sledding the area is far more snow, than ice however.
rkkunk Posted February 24, 2017 #28 Share Posted February 24, 2017 I can't compare the two, but we did the helicopter/glacier dog sledding with Temesco in Skagway in 2013. You are right, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience as it is very pricey. We thought it was worth it. The time up on the glacier sledding doesn't seem long enough though, but that is because we were enjoying it so much! The sights on the way to the glacier and back were really awesome and we took turns standing up on the rails of the sled while the others rode in the sled with the musher. After we were done, we got to hold puppies! Our son was 10 at the time and when we were done, he asked when we could do that again! Lol!
