RoyalCruiser2007 Posted June 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2008 Are you allowed to bring your own inflatable beat mat/float to Coco-Cay instead of renting the ones they offer????
sandytoes03 Posted June 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2008 Don't see why not.
Sue L Posted June 24, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2008 We did and then gave them to the two of the locals who worked there, this was at Labadee but I don't see why it wouldn't be the same at Coco Cay.
ownedbypets Posted June 24, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2008 We bring our own for the kids every time.
ocean waves Posted June 24, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2008 i've brought one for myself and enjoyed it at three different ports of call. i'm not one to just stand in the water so to be able to float around was so relaxing and i saved some dollars that i put to some good beers i mean use.:) have fun.
DonnaK Posted June 25, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2008 Absolutely! We always do. Like SueL, we left them for the locals at Labadee - they react to these Dollar Store plastic beach floats as though they were gold!!!
pmfan Posted June 25, 2008 #7 Share Posted June 25, 2008 Yes by all means pack them. :)
cot427 Posted June 25, 2008 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2008 This gives me a good idea for Labadee in October, thanks for posting this!
amickeyfriend Posted June 25, 2008 #9 Share Posted June 25, 2008 Always bring one to Labadee. Buy them at the end of the summer season and you can get them for practically nothing.
karena1 Posted June 25, 2008 #10 Share Posted June 25, 2008 We are taking them to CocoCay in August. I have taken them both to CocoCay and Labadee, but did not end up using them as it never got so hot that I could not just lay in the sun., I am guessing in August it will be hot enough we will spend a lot of time in the water so I will be putting the mat to good use. Plan to leave it behind for the locals after we leave.

cole'snana Posted March 16, 2014 #12 Share Posted March 16, 2014 I bring a "noodle" from the Dollar Store. It fits right in around the inside of my suitcase.
suizas Posted March 16, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 16, 2014 We always bring a few noodles... And as I insert them around the inside perimeter of the suitcases they help cushion what we've packed. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
applehunt Posted March 16, 2014 #14 Share Posted March 16, 2014 We always do! Thanks for the reminder...we sail there next week and I don't have it on my packing list :)
MrsPete Posted March 16, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 16, 2014 I recommend the spring-type of float that has mesh in the middle and a smaller blow-up "edge". That type blows up much faster, and they usually come with a carrying bag. They are a little more expensive than the plain blow-up mattresses, but they last for years.
