Friend of Bill on RCCL?

Have only been on Carnival in recent years but will be on the MOS next week and I'm wondering if we will find any Friends of Bill meetings on board.

Yes, they will post the meeting placetimes near the guest relations desk.

Yes, they have FOB meetings. Just look on the bulletin board, usually near the main desk or library.

I'm just off the Independence and there was a card advertising for Friends of Bill W meetings, I just thought it was a large family trying to keep track of everyone!

Meetings for cruisers in recovery, they are AA (alcoholics anonymous) meetings.

Friends of Dorothy is GLBT meeting.

When we were on the Liberty, I saw the Friends of Bill W. on the bulletin board. They did not have the Friends of Dorothy which is not the GLBT one. I can't remember the name used for the GLBT meeting, but it was held at 11:30p.m.

 

Every cruise we have been on, I have seen the Friends of Bill W. listed on the bulletin board or in the daily compass. Dorothy W. is not on all the ships.

A correction to what I wrote before. You were right about Dorothy W. The one I couldn't remember was Lois W. who is one of the founders of Alanon.

One of the problems with the friends of dorothy is that they tended to have their meetings at bars and were quite noisy which made some people uncomfortable. When we were on Princess the bartender told us they had to ask them to hold the meetings elsewhere so we would see them parading down the lido deck out front with champagne bottles and glasses in hand.

Look for the meeting on MOS on a board near the steps outside the Promanade Cafe. My husband has been to the meeting on both of our cruises. Go the first night and the group will decide when to meet.
