SevenSeas1492 Posted July 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2008 Sailing on the Mariner soon, and my husband heard that they allow fishing (for a fee, of course) in a certain area of the ship. Is this true? If so, can anyone give us more info. Thanks, and can't wait to go! JC
Gonzo70 Posted July 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2008 I have never heard of this on any cruise ship. The ship travels way too fast for fishing and there would be a huge safety issue with the breezes blowing the hook all about. Many port stops have deep sea fishing excursions, but that involves boarding a fishing boat at the port; not fishing off of the cruise ship. FLACRUISER99 Posted July 13, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 13, 2008 No No you all have it wrong, bring your shotgun because its seagull season and all you need is a seagull license.
bluefintuna Posted July 13, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 13, 2008 We had skeet shooting on the Festivale back in '84. I almost shot one of the spectators (guess that's why it is no longer allowed). If dh heard there was fishing from a cruise ship, he would be the first one to book.
Bases5 Posted July 13, 2008 #9 Share Posted July 13, 2008 Maybe it going to be a venue on the new ships. A big lake stocked with bass and such. You can even have your catch cooked to order for a fee, They could rent poles and charge by the hour to fish.
