Fishing on Mariner

Recommended Posts

I have never heard of this on any cruise ship. The ship travels way too fast for fishing and there would be a huge safety issue with the breezes blowing the hook all about.

Many port stops have deep sea fishing excursions, but that involves boarding a fishing boat at the port; not fishing off of the cruise ship.

no, they do not do this.

Can you imagine if you hooked onto a Marlin at 22 knots on the 8th deck??

(lol) :D sorry, I crack myself up sometimes!! what a visual :p:eek:

You cracked me up, too. :) I can see the thing slapping against the side of the ship and flopping into and out of a few balconies on the way up.

Sailing on the Mariner soon, and my husband heard that they allow fishing (for a fee, of course) in a certain area of the ship. Is this true? If so, can anyone give us more info. Thanks, and can't wait to go!

If you're going on the eastern route, there's a bottom fishing shore excursion in St Maarten.

Maybe it going to be a venue on the new ships. A big lake stocked with bass and such. You can even have your catch cooked to order for a fee, They could rent poles and charge by the hour to fish.
