Looks like Solstice will be ready early after all. Just got info about a two-night charter out of Fort Lauderdale before the inaugural.

What is the charter all about? Can Joe Public sail it? We live two hours from the port and are booked on the inaugural anyway. It would be great to stretch our 7-day to a 9-day. I've paid a ton of money already, what would a few hundred dollars more hurt? Do tell Linda!!!!!

It is open to the public, but sales are limited to one family of companies which actually chartered the ship for the pre-inaugural event. ;)

There are a mess of pre innaugural sailings. I'm guessing for TA's corporate bigwigs, and hopefully some loyal X cruisers

 

November 9, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, and the above mentioned sailing on the 21st.

 

Let's hope some of us get on one of these and come back with some great photos.

Limitation is to who can book the cruise. No limitations as to who can be passengers. Busy, busy.

Not exactly. One travel agency group chartered the ship for the November 21 sailing and is selling it to the public. But, it can only be booked through that group of agencies. This is *not* a charter for travel agents.

A short preview cruise (private or not) sounds like a great way to enjoy and check out the Solstice while it is still in pristine condition.

Why is celebrity telling me the Cruise is only for Travel Agents? This just not make sense.

I'm sure it's because they don't know. Since it's not in their system, and since originally that date was going to be one of the "industry" previews (agents, press and muckety mucks), they are just presuming that's what it still is. The fact is you can't book it through Celebrity, so they're not going to have any info on it, as in prices or even where you can book.

Not sure if you rmember us. Bob and Carol. We cruised with you I believe on Constellation in 2005 out of San Juan. Nice to see you still out there :p Atleast we think that was when it was :confused:
