Host Walt Posted October 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Yes, we're in the heat of the political season and many (most) of us have opinions held in varying strengths. Please, do not add politics into any discussions on the Cruise Critic Message Boards. All such messages will be removed and the member posting such messages is subject to having his/her posting privileges restricted or removed. Thank you for your cooperation. Roadwork Posted October 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Thank You Walt. I agree this is a cruise site and other subjects do not belong here. There are sites all over the internet to discuss politics and other off topic subjects. Those interested can always go elsewhere.
Himself Posted October 24, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Good Point, Walt. We should be discussing cruising and not who one is supporting in the election. Best Wishes, Himself
Host Walt Posted November 14, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted November 14, 2004 I am "unsticking" this request. Thanks to all for keeping this forum free of political pollution.
tomc Posted November 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2004 Only once on the cruise (Oct 20-30) did I hear anyone talk about the election and it was a surprising consensus at our table -- just one quiet remark, followed by a nodding of heads. That was it. Everyone left their opinions at home. Thank goodness!
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 14, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 14, 2004 The only time politics was mentioned was on our last sea day (after the elections were over) and Peter Fealey (Hotel Manager on the Statendam) asked all of us sitting at the table at the Indonesian Lunch if we all had had a chance to vote before we left on the cruise. And then we talked about the problems we had here in PA and the other couple never got a chance to vote because of the foul-ups in Florida. People were more interested in if we had been able to vote rather than who we had voted for.
