Docs came early for our Nov. 22 cruise! Questions:

 

We booked Guaranteed - is that why it says: Cabin: O VF

 

What does this mean? I'm guar. a cabin at least VF?

Yes, your documents indicate a guarantee in that category. Your cabin assignment will typically be made 1-2 weeks before sailing, although it could be sooner or later. You can check the Shore Excursion booking page up to 10 days before sailing, and the Immigration page up until just before sailing to see if it's posted yet.

Yes--your actual cabin number has yet to be assigned, and you will get at least a VF cabin.

You can still check the HAL website periodically between now and the 22nd to see if HAL will assign you a cabin number.

so you go in as if you are going to book an excursions and if you have a cabin it will automatically pop up? Or how do you do that?

Exactly. The cabin # will show on the heading of the page, if it's been assigned.

And, while you're there---you can book an excursion! :D

That's the On-Line Check-In on the HAL site under For Booked Guests. :) It used to be called the Immigration Forms, and that name persists. BTW, if you check-in on-line (recommended) you do not have to do the paper forms in your doc pouch. Those are still called the Immigration Questionaire.
