Aplmac Posted March 31, 2010 Author #304 Share Posted March 31, 2010 This view looks over Enterprise Bay towards Oistins Town -at right is "Miami Beach" where I drove you down to the end explaining how it was accidentally created, by the building of a Coast Guard Sta. near Oistins which then backfired by accumulating sand in and around the facility thus creating "Miami Beach" just up-current of it! . Aplmac Posted April 2, 2010 Author #308 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Looks like you may have that Color setting at Vivid??Maybe I should try that. I now remember you used my Sigma 10-20 for this shot and I know that lens' color renditions well enough to know that the color in this shot is not ordinary stuff... . Aplmac Posted April 13, 2010 Author #312 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Alpmac - have you taken any pictures of Crane Beach lately? ===> Sorry, no. I hear that it's it pretty bad shape from erosion and drought? We had strong Southerly wind and wave action for a few weeks, steadilywhich did some erosional damage to Crane Beach, yes. A friend sent me some pics awhile back showing erosion but I can't find them now.. .

irmoscrapper Posted May 10, 2010 #317 Share Posted May 10, 2010 (edited) Thanks for all your pics. I was planning on taking the Glory tour that ends with Oistin Beach for swimming with the turtles. Is Oistin anywhere near as beautiful as Accura? Do you have any pics of Oistin? This beach makes me want to change all of my plans. I am interested in Harrison Caves, Bathsheba, turtles and beach time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Cheryl Sorry - Mispelled Aplmac in subject line! Aplmac, do you use a filter or shoot your photos in raw. ===> RAW? Yuk! --Can U say .jpeg? The colours in your photos are so vivid! I use unusual lenses...rather expensive 'glass'. The Sigma 10-20 renders amazing blues (like Barbados natural colors suffer for that?) :D and the 10.5 mm. Nikkor Fisheye isn't exactly bashful in the color rendition department either. The only filters I use are plain-ordinary clear UV filters - for protection of the front element, more than any other reason And then there's Photoshop, which I often use to reduce the blues and turquoises down to believable levels. ;) .
