Just got back from Sea Princess this morning, Grolsh is $5.95 a bottle plus 15% gratuity.

Helen..

Got home eventually, after having in the end a 2 hour delay after they couldn't start one of our engines. At least the 200mph tail wind (inc. turbulence!!!) got us home to cardiff only 30 mins late!!

PS. Jacki's already missing her Melon Mageritas!!!!!!!!!!!:):)
So am I, So am I!!!:D
We were on time but hit that turbulance. It was a bit scarey, wasn`t it?
We had a great time.
I wonder if the rest have won the quiz?
For the rest of you going on Sea Princess, the duo Alan and Alana have a quiz at 10pm which is good fun. Our team won twice in a row.:)

Shogun,
I took a can of insect repelent from Boots. You apply your sun cream, wait 20 minutes then spray it on. It has deet in it. I didn`t get any bites on the beach.
It might be an idea for next time.;)

Enjoy the rest of the cruise. I am on a diet now.

The Margaritas are $6.75, plus your 15% of course, and are huge and very nice.:) Normal cocktails are $6.95 plus tax.

Shogun, I agree with Caper but also take an antihystamine. MyDH does this together with the deet spray and hasn't been bitten again. Normally he comes up in lumps.
Good old Alan and Alana. Is he still telling his awful jokes? We really enjoyed th Trivia and music with them

Hi Folks,

Mrs Shogun has started reading these posts which is not good, can not tell you about what ship has planned for her birthday, but will tell all on return to UK.

Gossip on ship is passenger got robbed ashore to day will try and find out the facts as no doubt in a few hours story will have grown and grown.

Now if a woman needs many feet of material in her bikini bottom she sould in my view not be wearing a bikini, she should not roll it up into a thong allowing great lumps of bright white flesh fall out, now in some parts of the world women do not shave or wax as they do in other parts, now try and get this picture in your mind, this was the view that Shogun had this morning on his way to Horizon court as such I have had no breakfast could eat little at lunch time can not get this picture out of my mind will I be scarred for life.

We are sailing on sea princess on saturday--just received a letter from Princess they have replaced La guaria with Isla Margarita on Feb 5th and for the rest of the season, this is good news.

We join on the 7th Feb. We were always due to visit Isla margarita anyway so no change there. Not that Isla Margarita is worth a stop anyway in my opinion.

We went to La Guaria on the last cruise, two weeks ago. I feel that all those who remained onboard missed some great tours. We did the Princess 4wd tour which was great but the highlight was coming down the mountain on the cablecar. Most of the tours took in this. It was an experience I am glad I did not miss. It was misty at the top and the cablecar took off quite fast, straight into the mist, a bit like Disney`s Space Mountain. The view was awsome.

Sue,

I am disappointed you have not won the quiz without us.;)

Shogun,

Sorry to intervene on your thread. I look forward to your next post. I have been following you on the webcam.:)

Was looking forward to visiting Caracas too. Very short notice to change the itinerary, first time cruisers and not impressed with this late change!!!

Caracas is dodgy at best and has been dropped on more than one occasion because of safety. I like to think I'm not a timid person and have worked in some of Glasgows poorest areas but Caracas can be scary if you make a wrong move and find youself even slightly off the main tourist track. Think Jamaica but with a higher risk factor.

We are very disappoined not to be going to mainland Venezuela, it was one of the reasons for selecting this cruise. We have seen a lot of poverty in other places such as Brazil, Zambia, Egypt etc and also an element of threat , even so we find these places have charm and it is impotant to see how others may live and be thankful. Hope the alternative Isla Margarita is not just another Caribbean Island like the others?

It is the same the world over. You wouldn`t go into some areas yourself. It`s common sense. I was on a Princess tour and it was great.

Shogun,

Where are you?:(

We are ready for your next report.

Hi Folks,

First The News

Doctor is on state room TV saying NOROVIRUS< NOROVIRUS, yip its is on board,

now every since we have got here we have seen increased cleaning, loo doors held open etc, but today is first day of warnings on TVs,

Have seen one loo closed of with the yellow warning tape, and only seen one red bio hazard bag, room stewart said nothing in his area.

Casino only won $5 Mrs Shogun still losing every night, so went to roulete table started with 25 walked away with 81 Mrs Shogun started with 25 and walked away with 0.

Today was at Isla Margarita, great tour took 4 x 4 to North part Island,

wow never new this island had a strip, 2.5miles white sands, 90 hotels etc, Ok its an hour away from where we dock but it is worth it this stop has gone up 100% in my option of the place.

As to the area where ship docks this is getting better any one here a few years ago will see big improvement, more stalls, chairs on beech, water sports, bars etc. Still away to go but heading right way.

Will chat latter.

yours Shogun

Shogun, I have to say thanks for the wonderful commentary. We are sailing on the Sea Princess 6/13 to Alaska with GS so all info on ship is great. Very hard to get alot of info on this ship. I too want to know which slots....I am never lucky on those darn things. But with GS in tow I will probably not even get close to casino.
