If you had a choice to choose any of these no matter cost which one would you choose??:D There were a ton more but i didnt want to get nutty:confused: 1,2,3 or 4

My brother told me whatever i wanted he was treating me and hubby to a hotel room with this American Express Points!! Woot Woot lol

Oh and i will have a vehicle

Ditto....but the Harbor Beach Marriot Resort would REALLY be great....

 

if you go to the Ren Ft L, the restaurant isn't really good..overpriced for starters.....there are plenty of places nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner......

omg the 1 bedroom suites at lago mar are gorgeous, i may not wanna get on the ship

Embassy suites has a nice location with a free happy hour every evening. Renaissance on 17th is nice and in a good location for walking & Hyatt pier 66 is great for watching the ships come & go. another fun tour is:

There is even a coupon on the website for $2 off each ticket. Have fun.

Based on these 4 choices I wold pick the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale just because if the location. I agree if you can get your brother to give you enough points for the Marriott Harbor Beach, that would be a better choice.

 

I'm not sure using AMEX points, but on the Marriott points I am using, the Beach Harbour was 30,000 points instead of the Renaissance at 25,000.

I'm using points for my stay on March 7th.

We've been very pleased with the accommodations and service at the Renaissance Plantation. Have stayed there twice now, most recently a couple of weeks ago. Don't know how many points they are charging but we thought it was quite a good deal on our most recent visit as they are running a cruisers special at $104 a nite.

i love this place, i just leave all of u to make my decisions b/c i really stink at choices:D

i like the idea of 17th street too, everything is right there;)

but i have a car too so not really worrying about it.

Now i got to see how many points big brother is giving up!! lol

i like 17th street as well. We are going to finalize tonight or tomorrow.

 

Amex users?? Now how does this work, he gets a coupon with number and then we enter it?? Will i have a problem when i get to the hotel if i dont have the amex card?

I just stayed at the Renaissance Plantation Location and enjoyed it. The hotel was really beautiful. There is nice sports bar/restuarant right through the complex's parking lot and grocery/drug/liquor stores around the corner. Can't say what else is near by....we didn't do a whole lot there. Had lunch, then took a nap and waited for my sister's flt to get in. Picked her up, went back to the sports bar so she could have dinner. Then back to the hotel to sleep. Up early and to the port. It's only about 10 minute drive from the airport and easy to locate.

 

A friend who works for Mariott got us a Friends & Family rate there, so we couldn't beat the price.

I've stayed at the Renaissance FLL Plantation.

 

The staff are very personable & the buffet breakfast is great ! It includes a complimentary breakfast smoothie & a made to order omelettes.

We stayed at the Lago Mar in October and are staying there again for one night before the cruise. It's a fabulous resort, right on the beach.

teemsum, misty...i loved the plantation area as well, stayed there last year, nice a quiet and there was plenty to do, we went to carabbas for dinner and drinks
