deeceedub Posted February 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2009 We're booked on the Conquest for June 21. This is our 4th cruise, and somehow we've managed to have all three previous cruises with Blood Power on board. It's ridiculous, I know, but we just loved them. We jokingly referred to ourselves as their "groupies" because we'd find out where they happened to be playing that night and adjust our evening accordingly. I see they're not on the Conquest anymore. Has anyone sailed recently that can tell me if there is a similar group playing now? Our cruise just won't be the same without them!

deeceedub Posted February 24, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Sorry, yes. A Filipino band that does great covers of 70s-80s rock. Sounds like a disaster but they were lots of fun.

aggieastrosfan Posted February 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Sorry, yes. A Filipino band that does great covers of 70s-80s rock. Sounds like a disaster but they were lots of fun. I remember them from my Conquest cruise in 2006. They were so entertaining! You're lucky to have sailed with them 3 times. I never spent as much time in the lounge as I did on that cruise when they were playing. Now I just lose all my money in the casino. :o
kelz66 Posted February 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2009 And this would be a band, I assume??!? Yes...I have never seen them..but have heard nothing but good things from so many people about them. I wonder if they moved them to one of the newer ships, due to their popularity?

DJ Eddy Posted February 24, 2009 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Last I heard they were on the Sensation, but that was about Oct time last year so now they may be on vacation, or indeed another ship.

jordanaire Posted February 26, 2009 #11 Share Posted February 26, 2009 "There's the bathroom on the right!" Oh yeah, "Blood Power" was one of our favorite bands too! We absolutely loved their 30-song in a row Beatles tribute! What a band! :cool:Bill

Rockportgirl Posted November 17, 2009 #13 Share Posted November 17, 2009 They were on our first cruise on the Elation and we haven't seen them since then. Never seen a better band on any other cruise. They used to have a website, but I can't find it anymore. I'm wondering if they broke up. :(
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted November 17, 2009 #14 Share Posted November 17, 2009 Yes...I have never seen them..but have heard nothing but good things from so many people about them. I wonder if they moved them to one of the newer ships, due to their popularity? I had hoped that one of the better "Music ---" bands or Blood Power would bring out the Dream - unfortunately they picked two different bands, both of which are pretty tame (read: NO Aerosmith, Van Halen, etc..). :( We were on Sensation the end of December and they were onboard We enjoyed them last year, I wish that they were still onboard - as we have been on the Sensation a lot this year.
