Accessiblity in Paris

How easy is it to visit a few major sites in Paris from the airport? We have a HUGE layover and want to visit a few sites. Is it easy to find our way around? Ride the trains? Any advice? Thank you in advance!

You're right! I should have been more specific. :D

I posted here because we are flying in from Venice after our Med. cruise.

We are flying into Charles de Gaulle at 5 PM and not leaving until 10 AM the next morning.

That's not a layover. That's an overnight. You'll need a hotel.
