It's a bit away from things, particularly the main cruise routes, and fairly small as a destination. It'd likely only be visited by ships visiting Jakarta which is the closest large port, but the only ones doing that are Costa. Given the distance (it's about a 3 day round trip from there) for a small destination and that they're focussing on Asian destinations, it would be very unlikely to be added to any itineraries from other lines.

It's really only suitable for cruises from Perth to Indonesia or vice versa.

Its a long way away from things.......

Think its more a case of the "pollies"

using the funding for cruise ship docking,

as a means of getting other "things" to the island:eek:

Ah, I'm sure there's more to it than the P&O announcement... or else Anne Sherry's politicking is starting to pay off!

Thied,

Thats very nice for the TA's that make money out of us,

by booking our cruises....

but I would not rather know that...

Why cant we book direct with the cruise line

and cut out these leeches who are clipping the ticket and forcing us all to pay more.

Thied, he wasnt having a go at you. Thats not how I read into his comments.

So....relax...read it again....I am sure most would rather book direct, and not have to pay for the huge commissions, if we could.

To me, it was a fair comment with an amusing undertone.

Cheers,

Jen
