What is your favorit ship you have been on?

I love HAL ships because the beds are the most comfortable to me but I think the newer RCL are wonderful because they have so many different things to do like ice skating, the fun pool areas and I can't wait to go on the new Oasis to see the Central Park and movies outside.

To me the size of the cabins on HAL and RC are pretty much the same but I've only been on inside and balcony cabins. No idea about the larger suites.

How about you? What are your favorite things on your favorite ship?

For me, it has to be the Celebrity Millennium. I cruised on her a few months after her maiden voyage and just thought she was the most beautiful ship I had ever seen, and still today, after 50+ cruises on Carnival, Celebrity, Costa, Crystal, NCL, Princess and RCCL, she remains my favorite ship.

Have cruised NCL, Carnival, Celebrity, Princess and RCL many times each and have to say my favorite ship is NCL Spirit.

The Sprit was built for the Asian market and has retained that Asian market flavor which sets it apart from most of the US based cruise ships at sea.

The Spirit is a midsized ship, not so small that it has little to offer, and not so large that you get lost just getting from your cabin to dinner or to the pool.

My favorite cruise ship is NCL NORWAY.

I think that's a given for any of us who were fortunate enough to have sailed on her. Unfortuantely that's no longer an option for any of us today.

The Norway was in a class of her own. Loved every minute we sailed on her.

My favorite cruise ship is NCL NORWAY.

When my DD was a junior in college she did a cruise on the Norway for spring break. Since she had previously been on an NCL cruise, she was upgraded to a suite!!!

What a way to sail on a ship like that!

I don't have a favorite cruiseline because there are cruiseships that I love on each cruiseline. Sometimes it isn't the ship but all the other stuff I love--like food and desserts and destinations and entertainment. I can tell you my favorite ship on each cruiseline.

DH loves the casinos on Carnival ships--all of them. Some of the best entertainment we've seen was on an older ship, Carnival Sensation, on a 3 day weekend cruise to the Bahamas. They are the funship.

We just fell in love with Crown Princess. It is a beautiful ship and the balcony cabin has the best cabin layout with a walkin closet. I love the lower deck balconies that extend out beyond the upper deck ones. Great to have a deck double the size. The food was fantastic but the desserts were a bit lacking. The specialty restaurants are beautiful and the lounges are huge--especially where kareoke is held. Best of all on Princess are the movies under the stars (MUTS). We loved watching football on the jumbo screen poolside too. Best pizza is definetely Princess. Most of all, I think I love all the different swimming pools because I can always find one all to myself.

NCL Gem is also a fantastic ship. We love the Great Outdoors buffet and bar on the back of the ship. We also enjoyed the slot machines next to the bowling alley because it is a nonsmoking area. Wish there were more.

Best of NCL is so many different restaurants. The Asian is my favorite.

Finally, my favorite RCCL ship is Jewel of the Seas. She is as beautiful as Crown Princess. I love the decor throughout this ship. I especially enjoy the main lounge area at the back of the ship. What I like most about Jewel is when she sails from my homeport of Boston. I just wish she would do a Boston to Bermuda itinerary each week instead of Canada.

For, it comes down to tie between two ships. The first one is the Mariner of the Seas (RCI) and the second one being the SS Independence (American Hawaii; Defynct(sp). All the other ships have been great, these two are my absolute favorite.

It's a tough call, but after a lot of thought, my favorite has to be the HAL Ryndam; love the size, the space ratio, the classy decor and wonderful service (sailing on her again in 2010). A very close second has to be the Star Princess, a really classy ship to Alaska.

Norway.

I just googled the name (sorry, way too new at cruising but trying to catch up) and OMG, what a beautiful ship!!! Those of you who sailed her were obviously very lucky.

Personally, I've only cruised once so I don't think my vote counts but the Crown Princess is quite lovely :)

I agree with you, Dianne. It does not have the "cookie cutter" appearance of the various cruise line classes of ships. It is totally unique. Like you, I also liked the size. The seating in the aft is so wonderful and quiet.

I will always have a soft spot for Disney Magic, our first cruise ever.

We also loved the old American Hawaiian Independence. A bucket of bolts to some, we loved the patina of the vintage ship and the fact it had an unbeatable itinerary and wonderful crew.

We love the small Princess ships (Pacific, Royal and Tahitian/Ocean Princesses). They hold bout 700 passengers, so you get to know the other passengers and the crew. Best of all is the itineraries they sail - all over the world.
