kruzkid Posted July 31, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2009 This is the cruise dock in St. George Bermuda. Just wondering if anyone could recognize it from up top. Maybe the Dawn?
Rare CTCruisers Posted July 31, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2009 It should be the Majesty. The Dawn cannot go into the St Georges harbor area. She is too big.

bakerintn Posted July 31, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2009 I can verify that this is not the Dawn by several characteristics that don't match.
cassrebecca Posted July 31, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2009 The Dream was small enough to go through the cut. When was the picture taken?
joteacher Posted July 31, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2009 The Dream was small enough to go through the cut. When was the picture taken? I don't think it's the Dream...I don't see the crew pool in the bow and I know I saw one there when we sailed on her.
jimswims Posted July 31, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2009 It is the Majesty. If you look at the pools, they are exactly the same as what is on the Majesty. The re-painted bow art (no more smiley) swirl is the same as well.
iheartbda Posted July 31, 2009 #8 Share Posted July 31, 2009 The Dream was small enough to go through the cut. When was the picture taken? It looks like this is from Google Earth. It's tagged as the Majesty taken on May 4, 2005
jimswims Posted July 31, 2009 #9 Share Posted July 31, 2009 It looks like this is from Google Earth. It's tagged as the Majesty taken on May 4, 2005 The Majesty still had the smiley face on the bow in August 2005. The ship in the picture is the Majesty but that date seems off. flashdog_1 Posted July 31, 2009 #10 Share Posted July 31, 2009 When did they stretch Majesty? Before or after 2005? Where are the deck chairs? Can't see the kiddie pool on stern deck 9 below grill, either unless that's the beige area. Very interesting to see a ship from above! Thanks. These photos of Majesty are from April 2008:

Yes, that date is probably wrong. I just looked at Google Earth again and the tags are for other pictures but it seems that most likely, it's the Majesty. There doesn't seem to be a way to date what Google Earth is showing.
ROBKAR77 Posted July 31, 2009 #12 Share Posted July 31, 2009 I believe it is the majesty.
jimswims Posted July 31, 2009 #13 Share Posted July 31, 2009 This is fun. I remember seeing a post like this of the NY pier and we needed to guess the ship. The Majesty was stretched before 2004. I am not sure of the date but she was already stretched when we first were on in 2004. My parents were on her before the stretch a few times and then many more times post stretch. jocap Posted August 1, 2009 #14 Share Posted August 1, 2009 Just for fun, whilst we're on the topic-can you google Southampton UK and guess the ship moored there-it's not NCL, by the way, and is sailed by mainly Brits.-jocap.

Too easy...it is the Ocean Village Two BTW...The Brits will be saying good-bye. As of December, it will become the Pacific Jewel and will sail out of Brisbane, Australia
craigers Posted August 2, 2009 #17 Share Posted August 2, 2009 I don't know what ship it is ,but I don't think it's the Majesty.I think I see two pools in the picture, but they are too far apart. Also, the pool in the front is a lot bigger than any pool the Majesty has. kruzkid Posted August 2, 2009 Author #18 Share Posted August 2, 2009 How about this one?? This is at the Port of Miami, I am almost posative it is the Sun, but it could be the sky??
SeaShark Posted August 2, 2009 #19 Share Posted August 2, 2009 Yes...that is the Norwegian Sun. BTW...You do know that there are websites out there that list the identities of all of the ships (and many other things) that can be seen on Google Maps, right? Nuncie Posted August 2, 2009 #20 Share Posted August 2, 2009 When did the sun start cruising to Bermuda? It may be the Dream she was in service til last fall and did dock in St. George
njhorseman Posted August 2, 2009 #21 Share Posted August 2, 2009 When did the sun start cruising to Bermuda? It may be the Dream she was in service til last fall and did dock in St. George Wrong picture, wrong port. This latest one is identified as having been taken in Miami, not Bermuda
scchasgal Posted August 2, 2009 #22 Share Posted August 2, 2009 When did the sun start cruising to Bermuda? It may be the Dream she was in service til last fall and did dock in St. George I think you must be looking at the original OP pic there has been another one posted since. The Dream had an aft pool so this has to be the Majesty
electricron Posted August 3, 2009 #23 Share Posted August 3, 2009 How about this one?? This is at the Port of Miami, I am almost posative it is the Sun, but it could be the sky?? It is the Sky. The Sun's third deck of suites above the bridge can't be seen, so it is the Sky.
SeaShark Posted August 3, 2009 #24 Share Posted August 3, 2009 The Sky has a children's pool on the sports deck...there is no pool. This is the Sun, not the Sky.

I think it's definitely the Majesty. The pool that's more forward is larger than the pool in front of the bar (more mid-ship) ...and you can see the black thingy behind the more forward pool....and that's where many of the pool games & the introduction of the CD's staff was.
